ASUS P5B Deluxe LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5B Deluxe LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This is really a great motherboard for the price. For the most part, I've had no problems. This board is way over-clockable and seems designed for doing this. The Asus tools are pretty neat (though after I got the confidence I did a manual OC). I have my core 2 duo 2.4Ghz running at 3.4Ghz without any problems at all. And if you mess up the OC settings (e.g. go too far, etc.) they system will tell you right after posting with a “OVERCLOCKING FAILED! – select an option” message. You can then either F1 (load defaults) or F2 (enter setup). Very nice! Also, it has pretty much every port you could want, including a ton of SATA ports and USB ports plus 2 1GB network cards. The manual was quite good and came in very handy. I could not be happier with my board!

Cons: I had purchased the OEM edition of XP Pro SP2b. Well, there are no drivers for the RAID controller on that install (not sure about others) so you have to make a floppy and press F6 when the XP install tells you to "press F6 to install additional RAID controller drivers" (at the very beginning of setup). Once I went out and bought a floppy drive (ugh) and then booted up off the Asus CD that comes with the mobo to make the floppy, I was able to get my XP installed to my RAID0 array. I searched far and wide for this solution to no avail (and I am a really good searcher) and happened to stumble upon it only by accidentally leaving the CD in the drive on a reboot (it boots to a utility that makes the floppy).

Overall Review: For this price, you can NOT go wrong. I love it! NewEgg Rules and you should buy this mobo from them. You can’t go wrong IMHO.

Works great!

ORICO Tool Free 2.5 inch USB 3.0 SATA External Hard Drive Enclosure for 2.5" SATA HDD and SSD Support UASP and 8TB Drive Max -Black

Pros: Piece of cake, Works flawlessly, and fast

Cons: None

Overall Review: For the price, this thing was a lifesaver. Lost my old macbook pro to a nasty spill - prayed the hdd still worked. Ordered this, removed old hdd, plugged it in (piece of cake) and plugged it into new macbook and entered recovery and did a clone - FLAWLESS. Seriously, I'm leaving my old HDD in there and using as my time machine backup drive now. It's fast (usb 3) and super easy to use. And very very affordable. Highly recommended.

Very Good!

LIAN LI Black Aluminum PC-C37B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
LIAN LI Black Aluminum PC-C37B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case

Pros: Solid case. Looks great. All accesories (and then some) included.

Cons: It's a squeeze for the full ATX power supply but managable.

Overall Review: I love it! I had a problem where the 4pin ATX power cable wouldn't reach from the power supply, but an extentension cable fixed that. Also, it would be cool if this had a built in IR reciever and perhaps an LCD clock like most "cable boxes" BUT it is great as is!

A Great Case!

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0

Pros: It works! I'm OC'd with my e6600 running at a nice 8x400= 3.2GHz with a set of 8800GTX video cards in SLI and FIVE Barracuda SATA drives. This case keeps it all COOL. I got a fan controller because at full blast, it's really loud! Trust me, get a good 4 way (or five/six way if you have a CPU cooler) fan controller. There are decent ones on NewEgg. I'm not kidding, on full blast - this case is LOUD! GET THE CONTROLLER! Looks really sharp!

Cons: Non-removable motherboard tray. GET A MODULAR PSU - this is not a great case if you want to "route" cables. Though you can stuff if you are creative.

Overall Review: Love the case, looks good, wish I got a modular power supply, though. Definitely get a fan controller, the built in ones require you to open the case as the are like little 3" wires tethered to the fans with a 3-way dip switch. Trust me, you are gonna want a good fan controller!

THIS IS IT!

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card 768-P2-N831-AR
EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card 768-P2-N831-AR

Pros: Just got a new 30" flat panel. Now, not just any card can do the "recommended" 2560x1600 at 32bit res. So, I got this and simply put, it rocks. I play all my games (at super high res, even up to 2560x1600) without any issues. I OC'd it without any problems what so ever and it it is warm, but not too hot.

Cons: Well, it ain't cheap. Oh, and it's huge and produces a good amount of heat.

Overall Review: If you have the $$$ this is the card to get. Don't get the Ultra (you can get very similar performance out of this card with no issues at all).

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: This thing rocks! My temps are quite low (30c idle and 53c max stress)! Oh, did I mention I oc'd my Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz up to 3.24 Ghz? I really think if you are going to OC your CPU this is your "fan-based" cooler... It comes with an external dial you can install to control the speed (or just wire the fan to your mobo's cpu fan adapter). It isn't that loud (unless you jack the fan all the way up). Either way, a great purchase and New Egg, once again, rules!

Cons: It is HUGE and the fins are pretty sharp. Installing is a bit of a PIA, but I've dealt with far worse. Oh, did I mention this is huge? :)

Overall Review: I got my entire build set up and cabled all nice and pretty then went to install this and realized I had to put a bracket on the BOTTOM of my motherboard. That was not fun but I'm a noob and that is probably common knowledge. Be aware of this, however. Oh, and if you put this in an Antec nine hundred case, this fan lines up perfectly with the rear exhaust fan (the PSP is on the bottom in this case). It also looks really cool, too. LOVE IT! :)
