Working properly and did what I expected.
Pros: Working with older Dell Optiplex computers performance increases are hard to find. With no BIOS performance options Low latency memory is one of the few options. The CAS 9 @ 1600 rating becomes CAS 6 @ 1066 speed.. A 15% improvement over CAS 7. The Optiplex 380 only has 2x RAM Slots. These were exactly what I was looking for. Faster 4GB memory when running at slower speeds.
Overall Review: Crucial memory is always good, and the high performance versions are even better. Not just for overclockers.
false advertising
Pros: Good price and what I needed. But why anyone would give 5 eggs for something described as DDR3 1333 CAS6 when it's CAS9 is beyond me. I'm running it at 1066 speed and CAS7 1333/1066 is what I had before so no harm really, but I'm giving 1 egg to average out for the 5 egg review above.
Cons: Looking to replace Ripjaws DDR3 1333 CAS7. But was running at CAS7 1066 so should work for me. It's generic DDR3 1333 CAS9 RAM.
Overall Review: It's OK for what it actually is. But it isn't what was offered. A 50% increase in latency is huge. I may look to return it and get some Nemix Gaming RAM that's actually what it says it is.
generic heat grease
Pros: This is a generic product. The thermal transference is lower than other compounds used for CPUs. I needed a lot of product for an electric motor project and chose this for low cost and large volume. It did what I needed it to do. For high volume low performance applications a good choice.
Cons: Certainly not for overclocking CPUs.
Overall Review: You don't get what you don't pay for. 20g. tube of cheap thermal paste.
Saves big bucks for me.
Pros: I used this to adapt a surplus 875W workstation PSU ($40) to run a 2nd 8pin PCIe video card. I didn't need the 2nd CPU cable so no loss there. This could also allow a CUDA PhysX card instead of a 2nd CPU in a workstation. A nice thing to have around.
Cons: I suppose fi you only have 1 EPS 8 pin this won't be much use to you. They wouldn't post my review unless i said something bad about it.
Good cooler good price.
Pros: There aren't many 6 heatpipe coolers in the 120mm fan format. The price is good also. A little taller than the similar 5 heat pipe Thermalright Macho 120. A little bigger in every direction. The Macho was offered in a passive version, I'm sure this could be used that way also. Mounts any direction, fans on any side so versatility is a plus. In test it performs at a very high level.
Cons: With a different fan mounting scheme this could be a 120mmx120mm+fan sized cooler. The fan mounting tabs make it 130mmx130mm. Mounting kit is painted, not plated, but at this price point that's to be expected so no deduction.
Overall Review: If you will be using the whole kit in an aftermarket setting ( it's intended use) it's OK. I installed mine in a Dell workstation and the mounting kit threads were different than the built in LGA1366 mountings there. Thermalright parts were compatible so I used those. But that's just me. No points deducted for my off label excursions. The screws in the Ninja kit were bigger. Which makes sense with a cooler this size.
Works in my BTX
Pros: Bough this for small size and dual BIOS, back ,and forward compatible. I had to modify the card to fit in my Dell Dimension E520 (2006). Much faster than the GTX750Ti O/C it replaced. If you're afraid of a little metal work this mod is not for you. 93FPS in Unigine Heaven 1360X768 high setting. Good value, fastest card under $200 I could get to "fit" my computer. Scored 7004 in Firestrike.
Cons: Won't display Dell BIOS screen. VESA mode 103 not supported. This isn't limited to Micro BTX which requires card mods. Dell T3400 which has room for 2 of these has the issue also. Probably many others as well. AMD, and Sapphire won't fix it. So Legacy BIOS support doesn't apply to Dells. HD7xxx cards don't have the issue. So I guess I'm an Nvidia buyer from now on.
Overall Review: Dell Dimension E520 QX6800 @ 3.72 GHz.,8GB DDR2 RAM, R9-285 ITX O/C. ( have validation @ 4GHz.). Micro BTX form factor.<br>
Good price. Name brand product. Works as expected. Improved the performance of my computer
Very good price for item offered.
This product won't work in most computers. Nothing wrong with the seller or the product for it's intended purpose.
Very fast service
I ordered my Thermalright Macho 120 on 10/27. Paid for standard shipping. I had my part on the 29th. It was the correct part, well packaged, and in good condition. No delays at all ordering at Newegg and supplied by Nan's gaming.
