Quality storage solution

Pros: Massive amount of storage space for personal use. Even for business use, 3TBs is plenty of space. I set up this HDD at work as a storage solution for shared files. The 5900 RPM speed is not noticeable at all, for now. May notice a bit of a slow down as the drive fills, but that is yet to be seen and may take a while since the drive is large. Also, vibration is low as well as access noise. I didn't really notice any, but that's in the server room in my place of business. Not a loud room, but I couldn't hear the drive at any distance, which is good. I got practically the same read/write speeds as everyone else, so I'll post for reference: 50MB filesize SEQ: 141.3 MB/s read, 119.6 MB/s write 512K: 53.56 MB/s read, 86.25 MB/s write 4K: 1.160 MB/s read, 1.622 MB/s write 4K QD32: 1.380 MB/s read, 1.709 MB/s write 4GB filesize SEQ: 134.6 MB/s read, 130.0 MB/s write 512K: 49.76 MB/s read, 69.98 MB/s write 4K: 0.621 MB/s read, 1.312 MB/s write 4K QD32: 1.121 MB/s read, 1.369 MB/s write So for those wanting to know what these numbers mean, this HDD performs almost as good as 7200RPM drives, yet it has a huge amount of storage space.
Cons: Product was packaged in bubble wrap and peanuts. No real box. Just a sticker labeled "NewEgg Xpert Review Item" which I won't take an egg away for, but I firmly believe we EggXperts should receive the same exact product in the same packaging that any potential purchaser would receive.
Overall Review: May require you to install 3rd party software in order to install drives larger than 2TB.
Does not perform

Pros: Easy to set up (no discs or installation required). Convenient.
Cons: I used the Powerline Nano 500 both at my home, and my place of employment, so I could have a better idea how wiring affects the item's performance. I did not have a good experience at either location. First, the installation guide that comes with the units is pretty bad. No where in the installation guide does it even mention a router, modem, or ethernet cable. The picture on the front of the box is honestly more helpful than the instructions. They should have put the picture from the box somewhere in the installation guide. Keep in mind, the unit is still easy to install, so long as you look at the box first, and have at least a bit of technical know-how. Secondly, though I'd love to have tested it with an internet connection that could "max out" this unit's claimed 500Mbps, the fastest connection I could test was at home, where I have a 60Mbps download speed, and a 35Mbps upload speed. This however, did not matter, as all of the outlets I plugged the unit into received way less than my maximum speed. I tried all available outlets downstairs in my (small) home, which was built in the mid 1940's (for reference). The fastest connection I picked up maxed at 25Mbps, a little less than half my max speed. The rest of the outlets in various rooms throughout the house received between 4Mbps and 20Mbps. Performing a simple ping test also revealed that the connection wasn't nearly as stable as I was hoping for. Ping times were between 25ms and 100ms (lower is better, and the numbers, in milliseconds, shouldn't vary so much), which is quite inconsistent. I kept my hopes up and assumed the low speeds and varying ping times to old wiring in my home, and took the unit to the server room at my place of employment. Though the internet speeds at work aren't quite as fast as at my home, I thought we'd try for at least a more stable connection as the electrical wiring is all practically brand new and was put in sometime in 2008. Internet speeds were still quite low, at all five outlets I attempted to use at work. Max internet speed at work is 30Mbps, and every outlet was somewhere between 10 and 20Mbps. Ping times, though more consistent than at home, were still disappointing. A 60 second ping request to common websites revealed pings between 20ms and 60ms. Not as bad as at home, but still not what you would expect for the price of this unit and the claims the manufacturer makes.
Overall Review: May as well get a long range router and a repeater. I was excited to use this for streaming content to my video game console, but was disappointed to say the least.
Extreme Performance

Pros: Superior performance, whisper-quiet, VERY VERY overclockable
Cons: Absolutely none. If that changes, I will update this review.
Overall Review: Buy this graphics card!
Fantastic for multiple monitor setups

Pros: Extremely thin side bezels. I bought two of these for my sister in law who specifically wanted a dual-monitor setup. I couldn't be happier with the result, neither could she. Vivid colors, bright whites, dark blacks. Can't ask for more.
Cons: This doesn't come with any video cables.
Overall Review: Not taking an egg away for no cables. For the price, it's a great monitor and you can easily find DVI, Displayport, or HDMI cables on the cheap.
Excellent. (I PAID 30 DOLLARS FOR THIS IN 2012)

Pros: Lots of room for devices. Built-in cord stash box. 3 very capable fans, all with blue LEDs (radical). Had a spot for another fan if you'd like. Did I mention one of the fans is on top, blowing out? Duh, why aren't they all like this?

The fans are also very quiet. Even when they are set to HIGH. Did I mention they have adjustable speed settings?
Cons: My wife is scared of it.
Overall Review: I love that my wife is scared of it.
Impressive

Pros: Quality hardware. You can tell instantly simply by looking at the device that it is solidly built with quality materials. Installation was a breeze using the included disc. I first tried setting up the camera via WPS (push-to-connect feature that most wireless routers have) and it connected just as it should. Then, just to test it out, I configured it manually to connect to my router, which was also simple and painless. This is a huge plus - There's a mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. This allows you to view your camera from anywhere you've got a wireless signal. Even in the mobile app, you can manually control the camera. Trendnet Cloud allows you to upload images or videos to Trendnet's cloud storage. You can also upload to a FTP server if you like, which a lot of tech savvy folks will enjoy. To test out the IR night vision capabilities of the product, I placed the camera on a shelf in my daughter's nursery, which has zero light at night. I could clearly see everything in the room, down to patterns in a blanket that you'd not expect to see in a completely dark room. The package claims up to 7.5 meters of visibility with IR, which I firmly believe is correct. Comes with a mounting kit so you can mount it to a wall or ceiling, or just about anywhere you like (so long as the power cord can reach an outlet). Motion-sensing technology. Within the browser-based software configuration utility, you can manually adjust which areas the camera searches for movement. This is great if you'd like to monitor a room with something like a fishtank, for example, without the fish drawing the camera's focus away from something potentially more worthwhile. I also tested this out and it works as intended. Very convenient. Allows you to turn off the blinking LEDs, if you'd like your camera to be a bit more inconspicuous. There is a surprising amount of very useful configuration options within the browser-based utility. One, for example, is the ability to label and remember up to 24 specific locations for the camera to focus on. If you'd like the camera to look at a hallway, for example, you can designate that position "Hallway" and from then on, viewing that exact position is as easy as pressing a button. As I said, this can be done with 24 individual camera positions, so this is a great feature. This camera features audio, which is obviously a plus. Nearly every feature I talked about in this section can be customized even further, such as the ability to choose dates and times which motion sensing, or night vision are enabled.
Cons: Quite honestly, the only downside I've found about this item is the fact that there is no real "zoom". The browser-based software has an option to "zoom" up to 4x, which I found to be false. The "zoom" feature simply magnifies what you're looking at, including the pixels. So, at 4x zoom, you're just looking at rows of squares.
Overall Review: SecurView Pro software (which is not to be installed unless operating more than one of these cameras) could not be tested, as I only had one camera to review. This product continues to amaze me. I'll be keeping it and using it as a baby monitor from now on. Which also amazes me, because it's more full featured and robust, and easier to use than most MORE EXPENSIVE video baby monitors. Fantastic product and I'm glad I had the opportunity to review it.
