Make sure you have the right power supply

Pros: Upgradable to ivy bridge processors
Cons: Died while performing a bios upgrade. For whatever reason it was unrecoverable. Needs more sata ports
Overall Review: Update to a previous review with a word to the wise -- after having this board serviced by Intel and discovering the "new" board had the same problem as the old (the system would power up for 3 second, power off, then power back on normal - no beeps no errors), I contacted Intel support. Support suggested the issue was caused by the power supply. According to a pdf they sent me -- the recommended power supply for the board is 460 watts. My case came with a power supply (430 watts), but fortunately I had a 500 watt power supply lying around. I popped that puppy in and the problem appears to have vanished.
Good clear case.

Pros: Nice looking (gets compliments). Blue lights work nice in dark settings. Spacious, generally well built and well documented on net (you'll need all the guides you can get to build this thing). Allows for up to 8 hard drives and cages come out easily.
Cons: Bigger than I expected. Already finding cracks with less than 5 days of use. Even after assembling, unit does not feel firm. Instructions are worthless. Middle fan is almost impossible with longer video cards.
Overall Review: Expect rebate first quarter 2010
Stuck!

Pros: Looks sturdy. The frame is metal. The footprint is perfect, not too big and not too small.
Cons: I had hoped it would be tool less but it is not. You need screws to attach the drive to the tray. The doors to the trays are cheap plastic. I added my drive to the top tray and when I tried to remove the drive, the door was stuck, it would not slide open. In all my years working with hard drive enclosures Ive never run into anything like this!
Overall Review: What a disaster. I can't discuss the performance of the enclosure because I cannot get the hard drive out of the bay. Avoid!
Good monitor with some head scratching flaws

Pros: Arrived fast. Initially looks smaller than expected until you realize you are actually seeing more monitor and less bezel. Screen is bright, images are crisp. Two HDMI ports. HDMI sound from my computer works (something that was not possible with my other monitors). Surprisingly light.
Cons: I’m one of those who cannot get the monitor to wake from sleep. This is the first time I have ever had this problem with a monitor and I have purchased TONS of monitors in my day. No, nothing is wrong with the cable. It’s the monitor. Second, the inputs rest about an inch and a half to two inches deep into the bottom back of the monitor. Why??? As if getting HDMI cables and vga cables in were not hard enough. I use my monitor on a mount so I can’t speak to the wobbly stand, but why can’t the stand’s arm be removed. Another strange oversight by Acer.
Overall Review: The package arrived with the seal broken. I don’t know who, when or why. Perhaps at Newegg it was a quality control thing. But the box was clearly opened and items taken out and checked (the plastic protector screen for the monitor itself was missing). Its disappointing, but all items appeared to be there and everything appears to be working fine.
One of the worst purchases ever.

Pros: Great picture when it works.
Cons: Terrible unit that freezes every time I use it. It is the most frustrating thing. I will be using it for 1/2 hour and go to shut it off and the remote will not work. Come to find out, it cannot be turned off on the control panel either. Finally the unit will go dark for no reason and fail to turn on. Bad news.
Overall Review: Avoid at all costs.
An ooma killer

Pros: I don't know how Ooma and the others will stay in business with this thing on the market. With new "official" support from Google Voice, you can use this adapter to make free calls nationwide and Canada. If you don't like GV, use some of the many other offerings with low per minute charges. And it will take a fax (with GV). This thing is out of sight.
Cons: Setup and configuration with some providers can get confusing. Took me the better part of a day. GV no longer supports voicemail message indicator with Obi.
Overall Review: The annoying delay and somewhat sketchy sound quality I was getting from my 5 year old Ooma hub was getting on my nerves. Now, with Obi, I get crystal clear calling like my mother gets with her Cablevision provided phone service. And the array of choices, from call block, call forward, three way calling, call return and many more, has me stunned. With Ooma you would have to pay 100 bucks a year. With this its all free using Google Voice. Simply amazing.
Exceptional packaging and as described
I bought a "like new" intel nuc from the seller that came packaged in an exterior box and interior retail box. And it was in brand new condition with the "new car" smell to go with it. My only gripe is that it took a few days for the item to actually ship. It was delivered at the high end of the delivery window (I went out of town the next day so any delay I would have missed my package). I felt the shipping could have been faster, but at the end of the day it came in on time and as described. Thanks!
