Pros: ASUS stability and reliability (7th ASUS build of 10 total, never straying again...)
Cons: Stock accessory fans are not silent.
Overall Review: Newegg shipped quick and UPS beat delivery date as usual. :o)
Pros: Shipped quick, but the unit was dead on arrival. Amped tech support was easy to reach, had good hours, and the rep wasn't overseas. After a few minutes on the phone, it was deemed defective. I then contacted Newegg, and was granted an RMA. The second unit arived two days later, and meets my expectations.
Cons: Quality control, it looks like I'm not the only one that recieved a DOA unit.
Overall Review: Very pleased with range and stability. Hopefuly it lasts a long time.
Pros: Fast, simple, and ROCK stable despite a heavy wired/mixed wireless load.
Cons: The stand is somewhat awkward -- I'm not a fan of the higher center of gravity unless is serves an unknown purpose other than appearance.
Overall Review: I was able to remove a repeater. The signal used to be 35% where the boosted signal was needed. With this new router and no repeater, it's in excess of 80% on the 2.4 and 5 signal. Placement of the router is identical to it's predecessor (which had a jumbo antenna).
