TREMENDOUS VALUE
Pros: Low price, 2oz copper (feel the weight), 8 DIMM slots, nice fan on the X79 heatsink, great BIOS, I think that this is a high quality board that is working for me as I expected it to. LGA 2011 offers serious OC potential. ASRock tuning utilities work very well.
Cons: Can't find any.
Overall Review: This is the third ASRock build for me this year and the more that I learn about their products the more I like them. The design and production engineers appear to have this technology in very clear focus. Runs my 32GB 2400MT/s memory kit perfectly and did it with one click of the XMP profile in the BIOS. Come on guys, I have been in this field professionally, as an adult since 1967 and have retired with pension from the electrical workers union and I have no criticism of this motherboard.
LOVE IT
Pros: The Seiki 39" lets me browse the web at 200% and still see the entire page. Movies look great to me and I see details in scenes that I have been unable to see previously. Light weight for the large size. Speakers are good for little speakers.
Cons: None for me.
Overall Review: Being legally blind, this monitor rolled ten or fifteen years off my worn out eyes. Glad that I bought it.
YELLOW CROSSOVER CABLE
Pros: Hustles zeros and ones at 1Gb/s, well almost 1Gb/s.
Cons: N/A
Overall Review: I use these cables to connect PC to PC for large file transfers. If the motherboard has only one LAN port, I purchase a PCI network card so that the internet runs on my 100Mb/s network and the second LAN port is available for large file transfer. The 100Mb/s runs around 11MB/s and the crossover cable runs around 70 to 80MB/s. Much faster file transfer and the internet connection isn't constricted.
NICE SCALE
Pros: Stainless steel surface
Cons: Cannot see any
Overall Review: Tried to power it on before removing the protective strip in the battery compartment. After rereading the instructions and correcting my error, the scale turned on and worked. I no longer have the calibration weights that came with my Ohaus triple beam scale from my studies of chemistry in the 1960s and 70s but I am sure the people at Rosewill have calibration weights.
GOOD MEMORY KIT
Pros: WORKED OUT OF THE VERY NICE BOX AND TIMED ITSELF WITH THE XMP PROFILE.
Cons: NONE.
Overall Review: RUNNING A 16GB RAM DISK AND HAVE VIRTUAL MEMORY IN THE "AUTOMATICALLY MANAGE PAGING FILE SIZE FOR ALL DRIVES" MODE WHICH ALLOCATES ALL 32GB FOR PAGING FILE. INSTALLED ON AN ASRock X79 EXTREME6 WITH WINDOWS 8 PRO.
VERY PLEASED
Pros: High quality stereo output.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Overall Review: Loaded the driver from a folder after downloading it from the website. Disabled onboard audio in the BIOS prior to installing the sound card. Connected the molex power cable before seating the card in the PCIe slot. I turned it on and started playing music thru a receiver with stereo speakers. Glad that I bought it.
Purchased the leather executive chair based on this purchase.
EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED
Purchased this item on July 21, 2013, today is July 30, 2013 and the item has not been delivered. I could have purchased this item from a Newegg competitor for $10 less and it would have been delivered at the end of last week. NEWEGG, if this is an example of your new business model, our business relationship has reached a fork in the road.
