GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Fantastic board, built extremely well. Has more than enough sata ports for me to fit all my drives on. Had my gskill 16gb of ram ran at 1600 without any adjustments in bios, mind you this kit was not on the support list for the mobo

Cons: None

Overall Review: Bought for a long awaited build along with a 3570k, it is an amazing board and future proof as well, I recommended it to a friend on his build as well.

Most Critical Review

Dead pixel, dead pixel, oh and yeah dead pixel on arrival

ASUS 27" 1440P Eye Care Monitor (PB278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI
ASUS 27" 1440P Eye Care Monitor (PB278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI

Pros: High resolution, lots of desktop real estate, its night and day difference to the WV246H I had from Asus. Great stand though the swivel is a bit dodgy.

Cons: Very little room for cables in the back, had to work a bit to get the DVI cable in there not a huge deal though. Dead pixel in lower right quadrant of the display on arrival, extremely visible during black screens and darker load screens of games.

Overall Review: This display and review would have been a 5 star had I not received it with a dead pixel. And from what it seems I'll have to be with a display with a dead pixel or without a display at all until it gets replaced, extremely infuriating considering what this thing costs, havent had issues with Asus before but there is always a first time for everything.

Fast

Intel Core i5-3570K - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I53570K
Intel Core i5-3570K - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I53570K

Pros: Extremely fast CPU, does exactly what I expected it to do. This probably the CPU you can get for your money at the moment. There are a few others out there with more features and a higher price but unless you are using them professionally there is no reason to spend the cash, this is what you need. Will recommend this to family and friends.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Running at 29c idle on with a Hyper 212 EVO inside a Thor V2 white case, I cant rave on enough about how amazing this switch was from my old PII x4 940BE

Fantastic Ram

G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GSR
G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GSR

Pros: Great ram, and I managed to catch it on sale, paid for 16gb cheaper than I got my 4gb kit for my previous pc a few years ago.

Cons: Ran at 1333mhz out of the box, though this kit is not on my mobo support list. Turned on the xmp1 profile and its not at 1600 stable, without any problems whatsoever.

Overall Review: Great clearance as well using a hyper 212 evo.

Must buy

Rosewill - THOR V2-W Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case White Edition, Supports Up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, Comes with Four Fans

Pros: Fantastic case, with PLENTY of room. Looks fantastic and came with all the hardware needed to setup my new pc.

Cons: None really, I wish the paint didnt scuff so easy as I did get a few knicks on it already from my chair, but I guess thats my fault.

Overall Review: None

CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750 W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great PSU, handling my 3570k along with a 5850 without any problems.

Cons: None really, maybe price? but its cheap enough.

Overall Review: Great PSU, unless you are heavily overclocking and running multi gpu setups, there is no need to go higher.
