Outstanding at its price

Pros: Excellent processor, good if not outstanding graphics, and solid construction. Looks and feels like it costs more than it does.
Cons: No hybrid drive, touch pad requires too much pressure
Overall Review: We got this on sale. At the price, it is just a whole lot of computer for the money. Even at Newegg's everyday price, it's a good deal. It is quick despite the lack of hybrid drive -- and we can always change to SSD or hybrid should the need arise. For now, using it for web, some business and avocational work (with Office), viewing photos, and e-mail, the speed is just fine. Others have criticized the touch pad -- and it is not one of the better pads I've used. However, it is servicable and we used an external mouse in any case. The touch on and spacing of the keypad is excellent, and key placement is likewise excellent avoiding "mis-keying" that it particularly prevalent on a certain competitors' machines. Others have complained about poor wi-fi reception. Not an issue for us. This machine is equal to or better than our other laptops and tablets. Finally, this is a very attractive machine with a well-built look and feel to it.
Calling it junk insult to junk

Pros: Lots of inputs
Cons: Poorly made, form factor poor, making insertion extremely difficult. Pins in CF reader are of different lengths and it inserting a CF card proved impossible. Instructions are, to be kind, cryptic
Overall Review: Waste of cost for shipping to return.
Junk - Buy at your own risk

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Cheaply made, cable obviously subject to failure. Brand new out of the box, simply would not connect. Attached to both free USB ports on motherboard, rebooted, etc., etc. Suspect the cable is the problem. To add insult to injury, it does not fit snuggly into a 3.5 to 5.5 adapter so over time the open slots will likely fill with dust from the pull of the cooling fans.
Overall Review: Other reviews note that this item seems to have a high failure rate over the first year. While it's very nice to have the card reader off the desk, it's a pain to have to take apart one's computer to remove and reinstall a card reader so the price advantage disappears if one puts any value on one's time.
Great case

Pros: Excellent case for the money. 3 5-1/2 slots, 6 HDD slots, 2 fans installed with space for a 3rd and even a 4th if one uses only 3 HDD slots. The 2 installed fans have manual speed controls (L-M-H). Both side panels come off for access. All stock parts fit perfectly. Plenty of room for cables. And - it's quite light. Appearance is functional and attractive.
Cons: None for me. Obviously not the case for someone who wants flashy.
Overall Review: If one wanted to nit-pick, removing the 5 1/2 bay covers could be a bit easier, but . . .
Product cheaply made
Shipping was acceptable: not particularly well packaged and not slow but not quick either. The product itself was very poorly (cheaply) made and since this is the "Excelvan" store I would be wary of all their Excelvan products.
