Pros: Plugged in the USB cable, power indicator light comes on. Connect to computer VGA port, TV HDMI port. Works.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Breathes new life into an older system. On an Asus X200CA with Celeron 1007U I can power up and be completely logged into Win8.1 in about 12 seconds, maybe faster. Everything else is snappier too.
Cons: I couldn't get Corsair's SSD Toolbox cloning software to work. It found the Corsair drive in the external drive enclosure okay. Found the Asus' HDD. Indicated both were clone-able and re-sizeable. But the "clone" button wouldn't activate and a message indicated "no drives available for cloning" or something similar. I downloaded a free cloning program, Macrium Reflect, which worked perfectly and performed the clone and resize.
Pros: Easy setup, nice GUI to work with it.
Pros: Works as advertised.
Cons: None. It's a cable. It works.
Pros: Fast boot without SSD cost but with HDD space.
Overall Review: The drive has to learn what you use most often and that can take a few weeks of use. My 5 year old Dell laptop boots into Windows8 in ~30sec now. Core2 Duo T6400 CPU 2.0GHz. I'm quite happy with that response. It may continue to improve.
Pros: Full HD, great size for college student.
Cons: No HDMI input, no height adjust.
Overall Review: Knocked it down 1 egg for lack of height adjust. Other than that, nice monitor, no issues.
Pros: Compact size, decent HDD capacity. Great for a student. Windows8.
Cons: No USB3.0 ports, only 5400rpm HDD.
Overall Review: Bought as replacement unit for my daughter's use in college when her 4yr old notebook died. Paired it with 21.5" Hanns-G monitor. Perfect desktop as she uses a Gateway netbook for her portable needs.
Pros: Plugged it in, booted my Asus 1001PX netbook, recognized and worked fine.
Cons: None that I noticed.
Pros: Does what it's advertised to do, can't beat the price.
Cons: I gave this a 4 mainly because I thought this would come with a low profile bracket (which I need), and since the card shows up in a low profile search on Newegg. It doesn't! However, I called Biostar, got through to a live person quickly, and they sent a low profile bracket to me for free. Unfortunately, they only had a DVI style low profile bracket available at the time, so they sent that--and I only found that out when I opened the package they sent. I was able to make it work adequately with a few small washers, however.
Overall Review: I bought this for a 7 year old system that I didn't want to put a lot of money into, and this card fits the bill. The image quality compared to original on board IGP is a zillion times better so I am pretty happy.
Pros: Solid construction and design. The (3) gripper feet work very well on any dashboard shape. And the adjustments available for the GPS make it possible to orient the unit correctly no matter what the curvature of your dashboard is like.
Cons: None for my style of driving and car types (family driving style! I have a minivan and small SUV.) I suppose if you have a very small car and dashboard this friction mount may seem over large, and if you take corners at high G's you might be able to flip the mount over.
Overall Review: I bought this because the suction mount to the provided disc that came with original GPS purchase would lose grip after a week or two, and the GPS would crash to the floor. Inconvenient, and the unit would eventually break after so many falls. This friction mount completely eliminates that problem. And since it comes with a charger cord, I can now easily switch the GPS between cars. I keep a power cord in each car and just unplug the friction mount.
Cons: The supplied CD drivers, and the latest from the vendor's website, both indicated that my adapter was an "...illegal duplication of Bluetooth Device Address and license key, this copy of BlueSoleil is therefore not eligible to receive the full range of upgrades and product support. It is running in evaluation mode now and only 5MB data can be transferred." It arrived in OEM packaging! This was on an XP-Home system.
I installed on my work PC (XP-Pro) just to see if got same message. It didn't, and I was actually able to transfer data from a co-worker's bluetooth enabled PC. What I didn't realize, however, was that the installed drivers corrupted my PC's connection manager software (used to VPN into client's systems)! And to make matters worse, when I used Windows checkpoint restore to try and recover--it had no effect! I couldn't believe it. I had to uninstall the Soleil drivers, then uninstall the various pieces of my client connection software, then reinstall the VPN.
Overall Review: Newegg to the rescue. I did the standard RMA on line, but when I called to complain about having to pay the shipping and restock fees, which seemed like insult on top on injury, they immediately offered to replace the unit with a more expensive, brand name unit, or refund everything. Newegg has phenomenal customer service. Way to go Newegg!
Pros: Hard to believe so much data capacity in such a small device. I have never had problems with Kingston memory products (desktop and notebook RAM, SD flash memory). They just work when you plug them in.
Cons: None, except maybe microSD form factor is so small they are easy to lose track of.
Overall Review: Bought this to double the capacity of my Sansa C250 MP3 player.
Pros: It works as advertised. Plugged it in, XP detected it, loaded the CD driver disc. Then it worked. Took about 30sec. Inexpensive.
Pros: Solidly built. Works as USB extender cable, as advertised.
Pros: It does what it is supposed to. Plugged it in to an old XP-Home system that only had USB1.1 available, XP recognized it immediately and automatically installed correct drivers. Didn't have to use supplied CD ROM driver disk. Now I have USB2.0 ports available.
Cons: None really, except for fact it is advertised as low profile, and it is shown with full height PCI slot. So I was a little concerned about whether it would fit my low profile computer.
Overall Review: This card comes built as a full height card, but box also contains the low profile slot bracket. You just need to unscrew the full height bracket and screw on the half height bracket instead.
Pros: Plugged it in, it works.
Overall Review: I upgraded the memory in my (1) year old bare bones system with this 1GB stick. It had a similar Kingston 512MB stick already. I wanted to get identical manufacturer and memory type.
Pros: 10ft length, solid construction.
Overall Review: Fast shipping, great price. Newegg is the place to buy.
Pros: Plugged in, booted system, it works. Upgraded to 2GB since running Vista Home Premium. Opening multiple programs runs a little faster now.
Overall Review: The main reasons I bought this RAM were: the price was good, I have heard of this memory manufacturer, and all reviews of Vista Home Premium indicate the more RAM the better. 2GB is the maximum my HP laptop can take.
