Pros: FAST! Stable, and so powerful I actually have to go out of my way to multitask it to death! The stock heatsink is not great but even after 10 hours of full load the temp topped out at 57 C, which is not great but on average it doesn't get above 42 C
Cons: heatsink could be better but it definitely doesn't need the sort that come with the new chips
oh and it's not free!!!
Overall Review: heatsink can be a bit hard to click down depending on the board, luckily the biostar 970 isn't one of the bad ones
Pros: it works and stays together
Cons: an end or two was bent of 10 but it was fixable
Overall Review: I have a buddy who's sweet new phone always seems to be dead. He says his issue is that he forgets to charge it, or when he thinks about it he realizes he doesn't know where his charger is.... I said you're a moron! Your "charger" is an inexpensive USB cord, it's easy to get more than one! He then said he tried but there are too many choices I don't know which one works.... So with that I rage purchased 10 of this size and 10 of another and had them all shipped to him. Now if he has a dead phone I figure I'm within my rights to use one of these cords to beat him senseless, you know just to make sure it actually gets used!
Cons: a little slow even for SATA II
Overall Review: this actually runs a bit slower than my SATA I drive (which is 7200), I was hoping the higher transfer speed would be noticeable but no..... It is also not really that big, when all is said and done. I say this bc when i bought it I some crazy how thought I was buying a 500 Gb for $30. Ooops! I also had problems with the screws. All the hdd screws I had seemed too long. These screws work in all of my 3.5" drives as well as my 840 Pro (2.5 ssd) I used rubber washers on the outside of the drive cage to fix it but just a heads up. Maybe I need to buy newer screws...
Pros: good price (bought it black friday), fast, heat spreader not just for show, looks pretty well under load
Cons: wish it was cheaper, like maybe free? There were some hiccups during stress testing but no more than you would expect
Overall Review: puts my corsair sticks to shame....
Pros: pretty and inexpensive, which is kinda the point
Cons: not what you think when you see 17.0 ctw, but then again it's twenty bucks
Overall Review: Got them for my with bc she puts jewelry on and leaves it on until something happens and she haves to remove it and then she forgets and never wears it again. When I saw 17 ctw of the pendant I thought "awesome" but then as I looked at the piture I realized that probably wasn't quite right (unless it's hanging on a dog chain). Maybe they are counting the weight of the setting too. either way at the price it could be crystal and it's not bad.
Pros: good weight, $5
Cons: Sluggish without super fresh high power batteries, use .12 for best fit when loading but it is packed with .15, which makes loading a pain, jams sometimes and slow repeat fire but $5 is kinda what you expect
Pros: at $6 i think it was a good deal, so I got 3
Cons: gets warm quickly, did a 183Mb transfer back and forth 3 times to test and it was warm to the touch, so the egg is taken off for something that could shorten life
Pros: at $9 I think its a good deal
Pros: sleek, attractive, samsung, price, light
Cons: so light sometimes I think I may break it, can slow down at odd times, sometimes needs to be unplugged after switching discs
Pros: easy to open, easy to install, easy to plug in, easy to unplug! sturdy and small
Cons: can heat up without a fan
Pros: it works at speed under load, what else can you ask from RAM
Pros: stable, long life, warranty
Cons: a little slow compared to a performance drive but it doesn't claim speed
Overall Review: used as a replacement, I generally don't use the manufacturer's program to copy stuff but this time it was the easiest option
Pros: super small and out of the way, easy setup, ok speed
Cons: limited range! but i guess that's expected with the size, what you don't expect is the intermittent drops. I will be well within range and still drop, from time to time it must be unplugged. firmware has been checked but there is no fix.
Pros: good price, plenty of rails, good features without being crazy over powered, stable under load, somehow green...
Cons: i feel immature saying it but it doesn't look cool, but the grown-up in me says shut up and go sit in the corner
Overall Review: I looked and looked and looked for the right PS that would be powerful enough to power 12 gb of RAM, 1 SSD, 2 HDD's, a Radeon 7000 series, and a 3.2 8core, but not an irresponsible power hog (yes i'm a bit treehug-ish). This one was the best for the price and the power. It's my second IN WIN and I am happy with both!
Pros: good price (on sale), not massively over-built (no heat sinks crowding out installed parts, plenty of extras, core unlocking worked for me no issue (turned a Sempron into an Athlon 64 x2, OC'd from 1.8-2.2)
Cons: post holes don't totally line up with any of my 4 cases (Full ATX-mini ATX), had to do a bios update first thing
Overall Review: I haven't really maxed this thing out yet. I am saving to get an 8 core, an SSD, and a crazy video card! If I don't revise this post in a month or two then we'll know everything is great!!
Pros: good price, works at speed and under load, not much more to say about RAM if there's nothing wrong
Pros: super simple, super fast, and very useful, won't break the bank, good length
Cons: gets a little glitchy with Macs especially when they have different OS's but not worth an egg
Overall Review: I do A LOT of simple troubleshooting, data back-up and recovery, and maintenance. For a long time that meant a lot of pulling drives, or filling memory cards, or doing network transfers and so on and so on. None of these were hard but all of them were slower to setup and use than this one cord! I now use this as my go-to solution. Whether in the shop, hooked to the big bench machine, or on site connecting client workstations it is awesome and I have gotten more to hand out to friends and colleagues!
Pros: small, bright color (easy to find in my tool bag), no speed reduction over normal SD, no real seating issues once the card is in, good activity light
Cons: there are a few but not huge ones:
-plastic feels a bit light, I worry about having it in my pocket on site (I snapped the clear end cover 2nd day)
-getting the cards in seems to be a bit difficult for some, evidently it can be hard to tell when the card is all the way in based on resistence
- the reason for the minus one egg is bc the 1st one was DOA. I realize this is a possibility with every product but I need to mention it in order to make sure others have an idea of just how often it may happen
Overall Review: All in all I do really like this reader!
Pros: price, came with adapter, quick shipping
Overall Review: 3rd ADATA card, all performing great, not super speed but plenty fast for my tablet and phone
Pros: Cheap, Shiny, in case of an emergency it can be broken off easily by EMTs.
Cons: heavier than i though but NBD
Overall Review: Customer Service was great! I ordered the wrong size at 11pm and relized at 1230am emailed them and they had it fixed and shipped by 1030am the next morning, and wrote a very polite response! Very happy with the ppl
Pros: fast shipping both times, good range
Cons: Drops wi-fi like it's hot! have been forced to keep my old linksys router working just to pick up the slack
Pros: works, cheap, fast shipping
Overall Review: used to expand a reader tablet combo, works great
Pros: cheap, quick, no data loss yet, shipped fast
Cons: not as fast as you may expect but works for me
Overall Review: used 2 to expand storage on my asus eee tablet/netbook so i'm more concerned with stability
Pros: quick easy battery powered
Cons: no ac cord included (costs almost as much as the unit)
Overall Review: we use rechargable batteries so we aren't worried but an ac option would be nice, side note: she hasn't become more organized she just started labling her mess...
