Thank you.  I am replacing my hard drive and have no idea what to order.  My nephew is going to replace the old one for me and this is what he suggested.  I am locked out of my computer because I was foolish enough to download windows 8.1 and did not record the password correctly. I feel like I was hijacked.  Anyway, I will just replace the hard drive, download Linux.  Microsoft wanted $250.95 to help me sign on to my computer. Forget them.

This drive should work  with any laptop computer that has a SATA connection.  Based on my research on the system you asked about it looks like it does have a SATA connection so you shouldn't have a problem with it in your Inspiron.  I personally bought it for my Acer laptop.  Works like a charm!

I nedd to buy a hard drive for HP G60-230US Notebook PC. The dead hard drive was ATA. I found on your website hard drive what I need ( Seagate Momentus 5400.6 ST9320325AS 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive) 
but it is SATA.. 
Please, let me know if will work with my notebook?

I am a shopper like you, but New Egg has asked me to answer your question. No, this drive will not work. If you currently have a regular hard drive it will work. :) Hard drive size standards are the same almost across the board. There are a some exceptions. You need to know what you have currently for a hard drive or a model number of the computer to cross check and make sure.

Not sure...have you taken the hard drive that is in the laptop out?  I did then compared the connector for it with the picture on this website.  They matched so I ordered it and it works great

I don't see why not. I installed in a newer model Compaq Presario with the same size drive. I ordered the replacement software from HP. The software partitioned & format the drive and then re-installed Windows 7 and all the drivers and programs that were originally installed without any problems at all.

This HD or any HD this size don't come with a bracket to make Fit a 3.5 inch bay in a desktop. You would half to purchase  a kit separately to convert it to fit a 3.5" bay in a desktop.

If you didn't buy it already or don't have it this drive in your position. Then you should look at a 3.5" HD for your desktop. Would be cheaper then buying a 2.5" HD and a kit to convert it to 3.5"

it will primarily fit any laptop that came standard with a non SSD hard drive. you can even fit these in a desktop with a mounting bracket

No it does not. This hard drive is for replacing a bad one in your laptop. Your laptop would have the wireless built in it.

2.5" is a standard size for laptops.  The real challenge is how hard it is to actually get to the HDD bay on the laptop to replace the drive.
It's also a SATA, which is crazy common, so that shouldn't be an issue either.
You should be able to look up your model and compare specs, but It's dang near a guarantee that it will fit.
