Sounds good, but
Pros: Sounds pretty good, recognized easily, trouble free so far.
Cons: Be aware that this device will not "power" your speakers like an internal sound card will, so if you have speakers with no power of their own, they won't run off this guy. I had to replace those cheapo non powered speakers with some AL powered speakers which worked fine. In the end the solution worked (since I was out of slots to add a sound card internally) but the surprise of having to buy new speakers wasn't thrilling.
Pros: It does provide some adjustment of the fan speeds, so it will enable you to slow down a fan thats whining too fast.
Cons: The speed control is very flimsy and casued the speed monitor program to go crazy. A small adjustment to the setting caused the speed monitor to report jumps from 2000 rpm up to 30K rpm, down to below 300 rpm which would trigger the alarms. So adjusting the speed was cumbersome and finicky. But once you get it set, it generally works fine.
Overall Review: Cheap, works ok, but not great. In the end, it allowed me to slow down a loud CPU fan to something tolerable, so in that sense, it does it's job.
Pros: Haven't used it yet - Just got it today.
Cons: Haven't used it yet - Just got it today.
Overall Review: Since Panasonic hasn't updated their website, I thought I'd post that this model uses the following replacement parts: Inner Blades - WES9068 Outer Foil - WES9087 Combination Foil and Blades - WES9013
Works well, but way too loud
Pros: For the pros, this PS installed easy, has all the connectors and length, and solved my rebooting problem that was attributable to my old PS. So it does its job and powers my over loaded system well. Another plus is that my system is now actually cooler than before by about 5-7 C. So its pushing a lot more air and putting out less heat than my old Antec True Power 430.
Cons: The biggest con is this thing is way, way too loud for a quiet built system. I worked hard to build a nearly silent system with quality components and silent fans. My old Antec True Power 430 PS was silent. This one makes the entire ROOM noisy. Seriously, you can now hear the computer running from down the hall. This on what used to be a nearly silent PC.
Overall Review: I'm going to return this for a quieter PS. If your existing computer is already loud, or you don't care about the noise, this PS works fine. If you have a silent system, this will ruin your peace and quiet.
