Most Favorable Review

Easy to install, transfers fast, plays games well

WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280, Up to 7,300 MB/s - WDS100T2X0E
WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280, Up to 7,300 MB/s - WDS100T2X0E

Pros: Installed as a second SSD on my gaming laptop, for the sole purpose of putting Starfield and other games on there. I installed in second PCIE 4.0 2280 slot on my gaming laptop and it showed right up. Pre-loaded Starfield on there, ready for early release. Put Forza Horizon 5 on there with all the expansions too and tested it out. Ran well. Transferred a large folder with mods on it from the C: drive and it transferred over really fast (main drive that came with laptop is also pretty fast, but this one is rated slightly higher).

Cons: Could have come with a heatsink as standard option, but I just used the heatsink that came with the laptop for each of its NVME PCIE slots.

Overall Review: I would recommend this fast drive for any laptop or desktop use.

Works great with Netgear R8000 Nighthawk

Rosewill RNX-AC600UB - Dual Band Wireless AC600 Adapter - IEEE 802.11AC a / b / g / n, Up to 433 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 150 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Wi-Fi Data Rates, USB 2.0 Interface, WPS for Easy Connect
Rosewill RNX-AC600UB - Dual Band Wireless AC600 Adapter - IEEE 802.11AC a / b / g / n, Up to 433 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 150 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Wi-Fi Data Rates, USB 2.0 Interface, WPS for Easy Connect

Pros: Works well, getting 433 mbps 5 ghz link from Netgear R8000 on far side of the house with lots of walls and one floor in between. A true AC adapter. Windows 8.1 64 bit, get driver from http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds103757 1027.4.1120.2014 That driver will work with Windows 10 as well.

Cons: nothing.

Overall Review: I had this sitting plugged in on a seldom used desktop for the kids (they prefer I-pads and Kindle tablets) for the better of a year, long before I had an AC modem. Updated the drivers on my main desktop and popped this in and big improvement over N 600 type dual band usb adapters that were giving me a max of 150 mbps on the 5 ghz band from the Netgear R8000 on the far side of the house.

Not lightscribe compatible

Rosewill 4.7GB 16X DVD-R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model RMR-SD100
Rosewill 4.7GB 16X DVD-R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model RMR-SD100

Pros: Seem to burn fast, haven't had a coaster yet out of twenty. I liked reusing my spindle and cover from the 100 packs I use to get at Costco.

Cons: The residue and such left when you pull the packing off the discs is a bit annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Overall Review: Not Lightscribe compatible as a reviewer claimed earlier. Surface isn't even close to a lightscribe disc, but I tried it on three different lightscribe drives, no dice, not that I expected it to work, since they are not described as lightscribe disc but just wanted to share that information.

Great Basic GPS

GARMIN 3.5" On the Road GPS Navigation
GARMIN 3.5" On the Road GPS Navigation

Pros: Basic GPS, newer Garmin interface has more info on the standard map screen than older Garmins. Compact design, decent battery life, free map upgrade from Garmin online if one is available 60 days after purchase or first use, which one I'm not sure. Garmin lock by position/password.

Cons: Hardly a Con at this price point, but no TTS, MP3 Player or Audio out.

Overall Review: Got it with the current combo with navgear beanbag mount and garmin carrying sleeve. Wife wanted a GPS, she liked the one work bought for me a while back (Garmin Nuvi 350), but didn't care for the TTS voice trying to say the street names, didn't want MP3 playback, so this one was perfect and cheap.

Very Good Value!

Acer X233Hbid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 40000:1 (ACM)
Acer X233Hbid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 40000:1 (ACM)

Pros: Price. Good contrast and brightness, had to turn it down a bit. No noticeable ghosting in games, and darks looked good in movie watching. Using DVI for computer, but will probably hook up a PS3 or XBox 360 (whichever one my wife is playing least) in the near future, so the extra digital input (HDMI) is a nice touch. No dead / stuck pixels = win. For me, 1080 is great, no messing with the screen when using xbox 360 / PS3, though most newer 1200 monitors handle this pretty well now.

Cons: Not much to gripe about here at this price point. Menu is a bit clunky, no height adjustment option.

Overall Review: Came from a 19" Princeton 1280 x 1024 that was about 5.5 years old. If I get as much use out of this Acer that I did out of the Princeton, I'll be happy. My 2 year old got the Princeton for his first computer (with his Mom's old Dell 8300).

Yet Another DDR game

Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 4 XBOX game KONAMI
Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 4 XBOX game KONAMI

Pros: Got it for my wife. She says its different enough and such that she likes it.

Cons: These pad stomping games lead to disgruntled neighbors in apartments all over the world. :)
