Excellent
Pros: -100% modular-even the 20/24 pin cable -compatible with older machines. the atx cable can be converted to 20 pin, the 8 pin cpu power connector can be converted to a 4 pin, comes with floppy power cables. -comes with many many cables that are all fully sheathed -packaged superbly -quiet -tough finish -standard height and width
Cons: -it's a bit longer than a standard power supply so make sure your case can support it -with the sheath on the 24 pin cable is pretty thick which makes it a little bit harder to hide behind the motherboard. -the cpu power cable is too short imo. i was not able to route this cable behind the motherboard due to its length.
Overall Review: I picked this up on sale with a rebate for $230 shipped and at that price I considered it to be a steal. If your case can fit it and you actually need this much power I definitely recommend it. The quality is excellent. Great Card...now I'm cpu bound
Pros: -Fast -Easily overclocked to past 6970 speeds without touching voltage. -Rebate-Yes, I got mine and it took less than a month to get. -Black pcb and plastic matches my other black pcb and overall theme. -Not overly loud unless the fan gets cranked all the way up. -Doesn't get overly hot, but will take the heat fine if it does.
Cons: -Single fan. XFX has a version with dual fans, it would only make sense to put dual fans on the XXX edition right? -One hdmi port.
Overall Review: Easily beats the pants off of BF3 and of course MW3. Doesn't stutter with anything I throw at it. Photoshop, 3d CAD modeling-nothing. It's too bad my cpu is holding back this card. Don't need a wall plug for esata operation
Pros: Esata or usb. Metal enclosure. It uses screws for everything instead of clips that may break.
Cons: None? It doesn't come with a wall adapter, but it's not mandatory to have one to use esata.
Overall Review: I saw a few people complain that they can't use esata because it didn't come with a wall plug. All you have to do is plug in the esata cable first at both ends and then plug in the usb for power. The enclosure will default to esata. I've had this enclosure for about 3 years now. Still doesn't have any scratches or other defects on it. Looks basically identical to when I bought it.
Great case
Pros: -near silent operation -can turn the leds off if wanted (or different colors including patterns-would be great for a rave party lol) -adjustable power supply support bracket (can fit a very long power supply) -accepts a 240mm radiator for liquid cooling -tooless design is SUPERB -internal usb 3 header -lots of room -headset hanger -has filters for intake fans which are easily accessible and removable -came with all atx board posts already installed very good cable management -nice finish inside and out -did I mention the great tooless design? -good selection of i/o ports on top -hard drive dock on top
Cons: -side panels don't fit perfectly and require a slight squeeze to get the holes for the thumb screws to line up -thumbscrews are a little bit softer metal than they should be so if you need to use a screwdriver make sure it's the exact right size and be gentle or you may bend it a little (really..just a little nbd im just nit-picking) -the top colorshift fan was doa so 2 quick emails later over the span of 2 days and I have another coming in the mail without charge to me. -filter screens appear to be a little flimsy so take care when removing and cleaning -hard drive dock on top is apparently (?) sata rev 2 but that's not too big a deal.
Overall Review: Overall a great case. I picked it up for $130 shipped with rebates on sale and for that price I'm extremely happy with what I got. Even with one fan down the case still has good airflow and keeps my 1090t with the oem cooler idling around 35-38C. Max temp with prime 95 was 48C. I definitely would recommend this case. Great Drive
Pros: Fast! The drive is very quick-for a mechanical drive that is. I can pretty easily pull over 120 mb/s sustained.
Cons: Price went up by $30 since I bought it!!! What the heck newegg? Some people may consider it a con, but if you have this drive in an external especially, it's not a quiet drive.
Overall Review: If you want a fast mechanical drive, this is the one to get.
NETGEAR FS108
Pros: I've owned this for over 2 years now and it has never failed me. Extremely easy to setup-plug in a line from the wall then plug everything else into the switch and you're ready to go. No drivers, no installing anything, no configuration needed. It has always realized the correct speed 10 or 100. The sturdy metal case is great this switch has been moved from dorm to home and back at least a dozen times. It has operated in an un-air conditioned room with >90% humidity and almost 100 degrees without issues. None of the lights have gone out. Even after all the abuse the adapter is perfect-no damage to the cable and the finish on the switch has no scratches on it. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs a simple switch that always does its job.
Cons: Price!!! I got it 2 years ago for $24 after all the rebates and discounts. Right now with the rebates and discounts it's $30!! Better yet the gigabit version of this switch is $35 after rebates and discounts so I have absolutely no idea why newegg hasn't discounted this item further. The blinky lights do get annoying if you sleep in the same room with the switch. Simple solution-since the switch doesn't heat up just put a piece of paper or something over it to block the light.
