Pros: I always swear by Western Digital for my hard drives, in my many years of building and servicing computers, they seem to have the most consistent quality and reliability. newegg rocks.
Cons: It's just a green drive in a retail box, you can get the exact same drive plain packaged for $10 less with free shipping. You can tell it's a standard green if you study the pictures, but I feel this information should have been in the written description as well. Mine didn't even come with arconis software that was supposed to be included.
Overall Review: i got newegg support on the phone quickly, and they were very helpful and understanding. I opted not to return the drives for a refund, because I kind of need them right now- but they're looking into getting the software for me, so I can at least get something for the extra $30 i paid (after for shipping) for 2 drives.
Pros: Low cost and large amount of storage.
Cons: Reliability. My particular hard drive had a bad sector out of the box. Would have never guessed if not for strange squealing sound it started to make an hour after installation. I was also a bit shocked and disappointed to find the hard drive was a Green repackaged as a plain generic "DESKTOP" hard drive.
Overall Review: thumbs up
Pros: Title says it all. 120gb for the OS and this drive for Mass storage. Best bang for the buck. I'm not surprised that its "IntelliPower" because this drive is designed to be eco friendly and quiet
Cons: No cons so far after using it for 4 months. A minor con is that this is just a bare drive. No screws nor SATA cable. But motherboards these days have lots of SATA cables anyways but just know this is just the Drive alone. Asides from the instructions of course.
Overall Review: If your building a computer. This would be a good drive to pair this with a SSD of your choice. I have been using WD drives fir 2 years now ranging from their laptop drives to desktop. So I know WD will be having my business for future storage needs.
Pros: Best hdd on the market IMHO. To the above reviewer re: software: You can download it at WD website or use Macrium which is better and more user friendly.
Cons: None.
Pros: drive worked fine. WD support outstanding
Cons: drive failed after just over a year. made a report on WD support site, sent it in and 7 days later i had a NEW drive, with my remaining warranty applied to it.
Overall Review: this was simply a backup drive. so no huge loss of personal data. i have disabled head parking, a common cause of failures with this drive.
Pros: works
Cons: relabeled wd30ezrx-
Overall Review: bought this drive today and found out it was a relabeled WD drive selling for more than the wd30ezrx which i discovered is what i purchased after taking the hd out of the box.

Pros: Western Digital has a good reputation for reliability.
Cons: Incomplete specifications - what is the spin speed? If they don't tell you it often means the default speed is 5900 rpm, not the faster, more responsive 7200 rpm. Warranty is only 2 years.
Overall Review: We're looking to maybe add another 2TB drive to our system. We like WD but this seems kinda slow and kinda pricey compared to, say, the Toshiba 2TB which clearly has faster 7200 rpm speed, costs less and has a 3-year warranty .... (newegg Item#: N82E16822149397 )
