Question 1

Should I get the LX Sit-Stand Wall Mount System or the regular LX Wall Mount System?

Accepted Answer

Choose the 45-359-026 when you need the LX system’s 20 inches of height adjustment, support for displays up to 42 inches, and longer monitor and keyboard extensions. The regular LX Wall Mount System has 13 inches of lift and is specified for displays up to 32 inches, so it may suit a more compact setup with less adjustment travel.

Question 2

Ergotron 45-359-026 vs StyleView Sit-Stand Combo System: which fits a clinic better?

Accepted Answer

Choose the 45-359-026 if you want a wall-mounted workstation specified for displays up to 42 inches, with independently positioned monitor and keyboard arms. Choose the StyleView Sit-Stand Combo System if its workflow-specific holders—such as for a barcode scanner and mouse—are useful; Ergotron lists its typical display size as up to 24 inches, and its monitor and keyboard adjust together. Confirm the monitor’s weight and VESA compatibility for either system.

Question 3

Ergotron 45-359-026 vs WorkFit-LX: which one should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose the 45-359-026 when you need a wall-mounted workstation with a keyboard tray and CPU holder that folds close to the wall. Choose the WorkFit-LX 45-405-026 when you want a sit-stand monitor-and-keyboard system attached to a desk rather than a wall; it provides 20 inches of vertical lift and 62 inches of sideways motion. Check the mounting surface and required CPU support before choosing.

Question 4

Ergotron 45-359-026 vs 45-358-026: what’s the difference?

Accepted Answer

Both are LX Sit-Stand Wall Mount Systems with a monitor arm, keyboard tray, and small/medium CPU holder variant. Choose the 45-359-026 if your CPU is 1⅜–3¾ inches wide; choose the 45-358-026 if it is 2–8 inches wide. The core workstation features are otherwise the same.

Question 5

Is it suitable as a portable or travel workstation?

Accepted Answer

No. This is a wall-mounted workstation system intended for a fixed installation, not a portable work device. Its 39 lb listed weight and need for secure wall mounting make it better suited to a permanent workspace.

Question 6

Will this system fit my monitor?

Accepted Answer

It supports screens up to 42 inches and 25 lb. Check your monitor’s weight and VESA mounting pattern before buying; screen size alone does not confirm compatibility.

Question 7

Is this a good choice for a small room or a workstation that needs to fold away?

Accepted Answer

It is designed for space-constrained areas: the screen arm extends up to 33 inches and the keyboard tray up to 42 inches, and both can fold toward the wall when not in use. It still requires a suitable wall installation.

Question 8

Can I use it for both sitting and standing work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The system is designed for sit-stand use, with the monitor and keyboard adjustable independently so you can position each for your working posture.

Question 9

What should I check before choosing a wall-mount position?

Accepted Answer

Plan the mounting position around your seated and standing reach, screen alignment, and the location of the wall structure or track. A Reddit discussion about an Ergotron LX wall arm describes limited positioning when the wall mount and desk did not line up; the system’s arms can be repositioned along its track, but that does not remove the need to plan the installation.

Question 10

Is it a good fit for a compact or mobile workspace?

Accepted Answer

It may suit a space-constrained setup because the workstation mounts to a wall and folds close to it when stored. A Reddit user reports using the LX Sit-Stand Wall Mount System in a van, but a mobile installation needs a secure mounting surface and careful planning.
