Pros: - 10 Year Warranty (+3 years over the SuperNOVA G3s at this wattage) - Small Footprint (same as G3s) - 135mm fan vs 130mm fan on G3s - EVGA customer service is generally known to be the industry's best

Cons: - The internals are not made by Super Flower (unlike the G3s) which is generally regarded as the best in industry. FSP makes the G5 generation and don't share such a high reputation. - Poor cable wrapping on the modular cables. The cable wraps are so loose I can easily see through them! Not a problem on my G3/G1. - Accessories are a downgrade vs G3/G1. Both my previous SuperNOVA PSUs came with cloth bags that I could keep the extra PSU cables and other accessories in. Just a thin, clear bag for G5.

Overall Review: Overall, I can't really complain about anything of real substance on this product; it works and hasn't caused me trouble. The fact that EVGA changed manufactures of the internals concerns me, however I think there aren't any red flags so far so only time will tell. There's a review on eTeknix (850w) that thinks this is the best thing since sliced bread, and then there is also a review of the 750w on Tomshardware that is less positive; I recommend reading those reviews to make an informed buying decision.

Pros: -3 inches shorter than the previous PSU it replaced, yet with more power overhead. How? -Seriously, it's weirdly small, it doesn't make any sense. It's 250W sized, not 1000W sized. -Seasonic + eVGA = Winning combination. -With a 707W load, +12v only dips from to 12.170v from 12.175v. A+ regulation. -Go ahead and throw in a 3090/6900, it doesn't care about a highly transient load. -I have never heard this PSU make a peep. Even when the fan runs it barely spins. -10 year warranty -Could probably stand in as an arc welder if you needed it to.

Cons: -With Eco mode on, aiming an IR probe around through the grill, I picked up 80c, which is on the warm side. I trust that eVGA/Seasonic spec'd the components well, and it will probably tolerate Eco mode just fine for 10+ years, but I've opted to leave eco mode off. The PSU is still dead silent with eco mode off, but the IR probe only registers 51c which is much more comfortable for me. -I'm really reaching for things here, but good grief this was the smelliest PSU I've ever had to break in.

Overall Review: You probably don't need this PSU. It's probably overkill. It's a little on the pricey side. You'd probably be fine with an 850W unit. But if you're like me, and you never want to have the thought that "maybe my PC's issues are being caused by the PSU," then you've found your next power supply.

Pros: It powers on, looks nice and robust, installs easily.

Cons: Within 10 days of usage coil whine developed. Every 4-5 seconds for an extended period of time this sound will occur. Loud enough to pierce through the sound of your monitors and at times even your headset. Through a quick search this is also a reported defect on the manufacturers forums.

Overall Review: Don't risk buying this.

Overall Review: Unbearable buzzing noise probably due to the coil whine. Very hard to concentrate to do work at home when you need it the most. Disappointing.

Pros: No issues, power my 3080ti and 5900x without a hiccup. Quite on no load.

Cons: Very loud fan on gaming load though, might just have a bad one, but pulses on and off max fan speed.

Overall Review: Like the smaller size and its rated to be one of the best PSU out right now. Issue again is the fan curve. Older models had gradual, this jumps in spikes.

Pros: I just finished building my PC after a long search for the best possible parts; The EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G5 fits my needs perfectly. - The fan has been completely silent in my system, providing a ton of power with silence. - The sleeved cables are awesome quality. - The greed LED indicator lights up differently depending on it's state (pulsing for in use, solid for idle). This is a handy little feature for physically seeing the current state of the supply. - The ECO mode switch is another nice feature to have. That being said, I cannot hear the fans even with this feature off!

Cons: None so far! Assembly, installation and use have been a breeze. This part has been by far the least maintenance part in my system.

Overall Review: I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a modern power supply (In both looks and features).

Pros: Modular PSU Long power cable 10 year warranty

Cons: A strange sound does rev up with this PSU. It sounds like a low rhythmic hum going in and out. I'm not sure what it is. I don't think it's not coil whine. I have a clean setup, and all screws are tight, so I don't think it's vibration. It's definitely from inside the PSU, placing my hand on the outside does not stop the sound, but if I tap on the unit it will stop making the noise for about 30 seconds. I've never done a RMA before, but I'm considering it with this item because while I don't need a completely quite unit, this is the kind of sound to drive me crazy.

Overall Review: From what I can tell, this is a good unit, but the sound that comes from it makes me not want to use my computer. I have my rig set up in my living room so the computer is about 9 feet away from be, but when I am doing anything silent like word processing or web surfing, I can only hear this low rhythmic sound coming from the PSU. While the price to power performance is great, I can't recommend this to anyone who might find this sound distracting.

Pros: Works well and the modular cables are great.

Cons: After using it for a week, it developed a tiny irritating noise in the fan (I think) in the power supply. If it is not the fan, then something electrical must be failing but everything seems to be working well. Cannot get it exchanged because I already returned the UPC label for a rebate. Noise started after UPC was sent.

Overall Review: Even with the tiny noise that might not be noticed with background noise, I would recommend this unit.
