It says this is compatible with 3rd and 4th generation Intel processors. Would this be compatible with an Intel i3 350m 2.27Ghz (1st generation mobile CPU)?

Hi,

It is the motherboard the will limit the memory usage and not the processor.

My experience: I have successfully used a faster memory in Lenovo ThinkPads, T, W and L series, some the motherboards did recognize the faster memory settings and auto set itself to use them, on other there was no change in settings.

All I can say, as long as you are within the same technology as is specified by the motherboard, like DDR3 in this case, getting a faster memory should work and you  have a chance that it will auto set to the faster settings to get a bit of a performance improvement.

I upgraded at least 5 laptops in our household, most running Intel Mobile Core Duo T#### processors, one of them did have the i5 580m.
I did not have a case where the laptop did not work with the RIPJAWS memory - maybe just lucky....

Also, I found that for Windows to work REAL smoothly, it needs 8GB of memory and have non-managed paging space [= to memory installed, 8GB in this case ], and a 64 bit version of the OS - as the 32 bit can not address all of this memory [ In my opinion, the 32 bit should not be sold any more.. I am getting off track here.]

From the specs i was able to pull up for your system, they can be installed in your laptop. However, your laptop supports at 4gb (max) of DDR3 1066 (max). This ram would not benefit you much at all. Only half of it's capacity will be utilizable by your laptop and since these chips are 1600's, they would be slowed down in your system as their full speed is not supported. But hey, if none of that bothers you, have at it.

Is this memory compatible with a Lenovo T430?

Most likely will work.  Verify that the T430 uses low voltage 1.35V memory not 1.5 V and that you have open slots available to add this memory.  Many laptops have only one slot for memory and is  usually filled from the factory.  Make sure you have two slots since this package you are buying has two memory cards (2 x 4GB).  Are you replacing the original memory or just adding to it?

No.  Crucial memory advisor says your Dell Inspiron 1545 is a DDR2 pc6400.  These are DDR3.

There is no technical reason that the ram would be incompatible.  If you are concerned about the speed, it will run at the full speed.  If you are worried about the voltage, it *should* just work.  I have not heard of Lenovo building in artificial

If you want the best chance of it working, ue the lenovo system update software to update drivers and the bios.  Make sure you are plugged in and have quit and saved everything open before starting, because it requires an immidiate restart.

I have a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15-N020US laptop with currently 4G RAM. I would like to replace both slots with new 8GB RAM but I noticed that this RAM specifically talks about being compatible with Intel processors. Does that mean ONLY Intel processors? My computer runs AMD A6-5200 APU. Thanks!

These should work just fine for you. I've installed them myself in my wife's HP Laptop & they work just fine. Most of GSkill's memory doesn't specifically mention AMD but they usually still work. I have an AMD desktop with a Gigabyte MB & AMD 8350 AM3+ CPU & they also work flawlessly.

This memory is compatible with your laptop as your laptop is ddr3 compatible, but it may not run at its full speed, but you will not notice. be aware that being that your laptop shipped with 2 gb of ram it may be running a 32bit version of windows. you will need to install 64bit version of windows to make use of more than 4 gb of memory.
