Budget Pre built Gaming PC

Hi, I would love to get a PC again, I used to game on PC all the time. Now a days I only have an Xbox Series X, which is awesome, but some games aren’t the same with the controller. I’m looking to spend around 800 not including the monitor, any recommendations on budget monitors would be awesome too. Please and thank you.

You’re coming in at a rough time for PC gaming right now; everything is getting expensive. Honestly, you’re really looking at $1,000–$1,200 to get a decent machine that’ll be viable for a few years. $800 will get you components that are pretty much outdated already.

Hi! Welcome back to PC gaming, you’ll definitely enjoy the flexibility compared to console. With an $800 budget (excluding the monitor), you can build a solid 1080p gaming PC that can handle most modern games smoothly. A good combo would be a mid-range CPU (like Ryzen 5 or Intel i5), 16GB RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a GPU such as an RTX 2060 / RX 6600.

For monitors, look for a 24-inch, 1080p, 144Hz IPS panel, as it gives great performance for gaming without breaking the bank. Brands like AOC, MSI, and Acer usually have good budget options.

Also, if you plan on recording or editing gameplay clips, tools like free capcut can be really useful for quick and simple video editing.

Hope this helps — good luck with your build!

Thanks for the info, I think I’m going to try to do a DIY build. I haven’t built a PC in like 10 years but I used to be pretty knowledgeable about building and the parts. I think I can do it, just watch YouTube video tutorials lolol

I was in the same situation just a year or so ago. It’s actually easier now than it used to be. Here are some good resources for you.
