My first build,

This is my first build, it started off with a budget of $2000. Then I was unsure if stuff would be compatible, so used the newegg Ai and it went up to $2500. I then made the mistake of putting the build into Chatgpt(which mocked my choices😂) to better customize it and ended up close to paying $4000 for the entire build. I know I overpaid, and still have much more for customisation and completing it. Yes, I learned all white builds/parts you pay extra for.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D

Motherboard: Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO ICE (AM5)

RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB (2×16 GB) DDR5 6000

GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB GDDR7 (Gaming Trio OC White)

CPU Cooler: MSI MAG CoreLiquid E360 White 360 mm AIO

Case: be quiet! Dark Base PRO 901 White

PSU: SeaSonic FOCUS GX ATX 3 (2024) GX-1000 White 1000 W 80 Plus Gold

Storage: Samsung 990 Evo 1 TB

Spare no expense of opinions, I expect brutal honesty I know I overpaid.

since you’re looking for a critique, what are you going to be primarily Using that rig for?

Well mind you I’m coming straight from being on console my whole life since Snes. My most recent being series x. So my goal was 4k gaming with 30-60Fps on max settings. I also wanted to use the rig for a custom offline chatgpt, and an offline Ai generator. Oh I almost forgot to mention I also have a blu ray optical drive for watching movies etc.

Appreciate it, I definitely will add more. At the time of creating the post it said I was new so I could only post one picture.

well that should do it. I was just figuring if it was just for gaming you went overboard just a pad but not with the AI stuff

you might’ve spent 300 or $400 too much. But I know some of that is for the aesthetics and it looks great.

Yeah the issue was between the newegg Ai and chatgpt seeing a jump in quality being only a few hundred dollars more. It kept adding up to the point of the current price. I did also want future proofing to an extent. Being able to upgrade and keep the rig for 5+ years and get my moneys worth.

Sheeeee that’s a clean build! A whole hell of a lot better than my $300 Dell Optiplex :joy: hey thanks for inspiring me I need an upgrade from my crappy i7 3770 anyway.

Just don’t ask Ai :joy: they’ll convince you that you can do better and it’s a better upgrade for only a little bit. Next thing you know your budget doubled :man_facepalming:t2:. I do appreciate the clean compliments, honestly making me rethink about adding anything else to it.

My biggest criticism: 1TB of storage???

Honestly it was for the OS and maybe a few apps, I did add later 2TB for games but I plan on using 90TB NAS for all games.

:joy: Appreciate it, I was gonna go for a Sub Zero look but I like that as well, perhaps when I build one for my kids it’ll be Toon World.

Hey, Sub zero works too! if its a dark blue, you can go for Raiden as well.
