New case

Im buying a new case gpu and cpu cooler any tips for me its a prebuild of u were wondering

hello Chqser,
Welcome to the community!
Is this the first time doing a major upgrade? If so its not hard just take your time and give yourself plenty of room to work. If you have to, take pictures with a phone as you disassembled your PC so you can remember where all the plugs go as you reassemble. Maybe have a small dish or cup to place your screws so tou dont lose them.

Once you get the new GPU in you will want to erase and install tour new drivers

Also don’t panic if the PC throws up messages after the CPU swap. It’s normal for the motherboard to detect a new CPU and reset some settings. You may see things like “new CPU installed,” TPM/fTPM warnings, memory training/reboot loops, or BIOS reset messages. Just take your time and read what the screen says before clicking through anything.

If you have questions when this happens dont be affraid to come back and ask questions. Im sure more than a few people will be happy to help.

what are you upgrading to?

Im new to this so how will i do that
And thanks fir all the help

what is your system and what are you upgrading too?

3050 upgradeing to 3070

for that gpu upgrade, honestly you probably only need to just update your drivers. no big deal. do you know how to do that?

What change the gpu

And yeah its not that big of a change it just money and im started playing fortnite competition

I know how to update the drivers

what is the cpu upgrade

you should see a difference going from a 50 to a 70 class card

Im not upgrading the cpu i have a i5 12400f

then your good, this will be fairly easy swap. just take time. Routing the wires will probably be the most time consuming, not hard just a pain.

So one more thing im swapping a air cooler to a aio cooler ima get the thermal past and all that but is it hard

Installing an AIO really isn’t too bad, just take your time and don’t force anything. Biggest thing is planning where the radiator and fans are going before tightening everything down. clean the old thermal paste off the CPU, use isopropyl alcohol with a microfiber cloth or lint free paper towel. Just wipe the old paste off gently until it’s clean and dry, then apply the new paste for the AIO.

Also make sure you plug the pump and fans into the correct motherboard headers and remove the plastic film from the cooler plate before mounting it. Thats a big one😜

Alright thx a lot bro

Ill let u know how it gos im doing it tmr

some tips
