Currently have an i9 9900k and a 2080. Looking to make the jump to a 5070 and eventually transition to am5. Wondering if anyone else has made a similar jump so they can share their thoughts.

haven’t tried that kind of a jump, but what cpu were u thinking about?

I made a 5070 ti build with a 9600x and it is very good for 1440p at max settings. The biggest upgrade is just upgrading the GPU, if you’re playing at 1440p you won’t necessarily need to update the CPU. at 1080p you might be CPU bottlenecked which would warrant a cpu upgrade too.
