Synology lets people have non branded drives now. How was only letting people use "valid" drives a good idea?

THIS GOES TO YOU TOO NINTENDO. They should let any micro ssd be allowed for gaming use as long as it is “fast enough”

I strongly disliked that idea. Its so anti consumer to force us to use a specific drive when there are plenty options that would work just as well. I am glad they budged.
