How long does the battery last, and will I get locked out if it dies?
KD30B runs on 4 AA batteries with up to 240 days of battery life under normal use. It provides low battery alerts in advance, and includes a USB-C emergency power port so you can unlock the door instantly even if the batteries are fully drained.
Can this lock handle multiple users like family or Airbnb guests?
Yes, KD30B supports up to 50 fingerprints and 50 PIN codes, along with one-time and temporary passwords. This makes it easy to manage access for family members, guests, or rental use without sharing physical keys.
Will this fit my door and is installation complicated?
KD30B is designed to fit most standard US doors and can be installed in about 15 minutes using just a screwdriver. No drilling or wiring is required, and it supports both left- and right-handed doors for easy setup.
