It will work, however the board only supports crossfire if you want to run multiple video cards, so you will be stuck with only the 1 video card. I'm running an Asus GeForce GTX 960 with no problems.

Question 2

I'm not to informed about intel cpu's, so does this motherboard support overclocking?

Not really. The B150 chip set doesn't natively support over clocking. Gigabyte did mod the chipset to add overclock, but it doesn't work well. If you're looking to overclock go for a x150 or x170 based motherboard. Don't forget that only Intel processors ending with a k (like the i5-6500k) can overclock a normal i5-6500 can't.

Question 3

Is this motherboard still worth buying? Even if I plan on puttign high end parts such as a GTX 1080 and i7-6700k? It's affordable and fits right in with my color scheme.

I would say yes, HOWEVER, please know that this *ONLY* supports DDR4 2133 Mhz ram, i didnt realize it when i bought it, but its not that big of a deal. It should have 0 issues with the GTX 1080. I'm super happy with mine, using it with the i7 6700k, GTX 970, Corsair H100, and Razer NZXT s340 case. Let me know if you have any other questions!

No, this is an Intel moterboard. AMD CPU's will not work with it.

I intend to use this board primarily for media.  I will be replacing a LGA 775 board principally, to obtain HDMI functionality.  Currently, I take audio off an onboard SPDIF header and direct it to a stand alone DAC and then, to my audio system.  I would want to do the same thing with this 1151 board.  At the same time I expect to connect my TV to the computer via the HDMI connector.  And here's my question.

If I take the the digital audio signal off the header, will the HDMI circuit continue to have audio?  Can I expect my TV to have sound?

Should if the drivers for it have been installed. Make sure HDMI is the default sound on it. i dont know why you would want to take off the DAS header.
