Most Critical Review

Great performance, very little upgradability

ASUS TUF T500 (2025) Gaming Desktop PC, Intel Core i7-13620H Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060Ti, 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4 SSD, 32GB DDR5 RAM, Windows 11 Home, T500MV-NS766Ti
ASUS TUF T500 (2025) Gaming Desktop PC, Intel Core i7-13620H Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060Ti, 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4 SSD, 32GB DDR5 RAM, Windows 11 Home, T500MV-NS766Ti

Pros: The small footprint and promised performance were key selling points after watching review videos. It hasn't disappointed me performance-wise, and it takes up very little desk space. I added a 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD as a game drive and an 80mm fan inside the front of the case for extra airflow. I also like the "mecha-inspired" look of the case.

Cons: There is very little that can be upgraded in or on this PC. The video card can be upgraded as long as it is no longer than the card that came with it. The RAM and SSD's can be upgraded, but there are no provisions for adding 2.5" or 3.5" drives. The motherboard is proprietary and the mobile CPU is permanently attached, so future platform upgrades are impossible. There are only four USB ports on the rear I/O panel, and they are all USB_2.0 (on a 2025 PC?!!). There are two USB-A 3.2 and one USB-C 3.2 ports on the front panel so I connected a 5 port USB-C 3.2 hub and a 7 port USB-A 3.2 hub to the front panel, but I would have preferred to connect them to the rear, rather than having cables pretty much permanently connect to the front of the case.

Overall Review: Overall, I'm not completely unhappy with this gaming PC, but I can't recommend it based on it's short-comings. There were many pre-built gaming PC's in this price point with comparable performance and much better upgradability than this one if you don't need something with a small footprint. I won't lie; I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse from this purchase.
