No, only Ryzen processors with names ending in the letter "G" have on board graphics, like the Ryzen 5 3400G or the Ryzen 3 3200G.

Question 2

Description suggests 2 slots for RAM. How much RAM will it handle? 16, 32, 64? Curious......

The amount of RAM you can use depends on the motherboard you use, not the CPU. What you are probably meaning is that this CPU works best with 2 sticks of RAM. For example, it would run better with 2 sticks of 8 gb rather than one stick of 16. This CPU also benefits from faster speed memory. I would get no lower than 3200 but 3600 would be ideal. I have another system made up of left over parts that is using one stick of memory, so it will work but not as well.

Why did you choose this over the Ryzen 2700x if you were aware of both CPUs?

I had a 1600 and simply bought the 3600 as a drop in replacement. As someone who works and games off the same pc, the 3600 (upgraded to a 3600x by AMD for being defective) runs just fine in my current matx rig. I have no complaints about performance and I like the fact I have Thunderbolt 3 and PCIe 4 for my new NVMe drive. I rebuild my main rig about every 16 months unnecessarily probably, but I enjoy staying on the edge of technology. I bought both my 1600 and 3600 release day and I picked up my 5700 XT within a week of launch. I've ran Windows, Linux, and even used PCI Passthrough of my 5700 XT to a KVM instance for gaming. I have no complaints at all and will probably buy the next gen AMD when it comes out.

Question 4

How is this for gaming? Would this be able to handle bigger title games?

Yes. This is a currently commonly recommended CPU for people who want to play more demanding games. While there are some offerings from Intel that can offer a little bit better performance (~10% or so), that extra performance will typically cost you much more. It is more than capable of playing demanding games at high framerates, even if it's not the absolute best CPU you can buy for gaming.

Have any of tried installing this processor with Windows 7 64 bit?

HI Mario - I did try to "upgrade" to a 3600 from a 2600x on a x470 Taichi (BIOS 3.43 7/9) with win7 x64. The system was very stable before the upgrade. With the new CPU, win7 wanted to re-install all the hardware (which is to be expected). The latest AM4 drivers would not install some of the CPU driven USB ports. Look on Reddit for a small config hack to enable the ports. Performance was a nice boost from the 2600x with Cinebench scores in the low 1600's (1618 was my best), and a single thread score of 509 in CPU-Z. But the system was crazy unstable - random reboots playing games (straight up power off types - no blue screen), blue screens on startup about driver issues, and lots of WHEA-logger PCI-E Root Port warnings about corrected hardware errors. I re-installed the 2600x. A new BIOS for my board is available now (3.50 7/25) which adds AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3 and the forums seem to indicate that it helps with the issues I was having. I am going to keep the 3600 and just plug it in a month or so. Not sure what I was thinking buying on the first day - I have been all through this before with my 1600 =:) Just wanted to show my support for AMD and the direction they are going. I have been running my Ryzen 3600 in a new build and pulled an EVGA RTX 2700 XC out of my old build. No problems - just download the current drivers and you are set.

Question 7

The specs say 65 watts TDP, but what is the max TDP for the Rysen 5 3600 completely tweeked out for over clocking. What is the max Thermal Design Power for the Wraith cooler and will it take 4.2 Mhz? If I need to upgrade to a new air cooler, I want to get one with some head room in case I upgrade processors in 3 or 4 years.

The cooler that is bundled with the 3600 is weaker than the one bundled with the 3600X. I would not rely on that cooler to overclock. Also the p-boost (note two distinct different types of boost that I do not pretend to fully comprehend) is  more sophisticated than previous Ryzen chips. If not cooled to its liking, the chip will merely under boost, under volt, and under perform without showing any discernable results other than, maybe, lackluster gains.  I would buy an aftermarket cooler.  The Wraith cooler is an FX redesign and will purportedly handle 145 watts but the 2nd gen Ryzen boost does not like heat from what I have seen and read.

I currently have a AMD RYZEN 3 2200G Quad-Core will this work with my computer too? (as a upgrade)?

Yes, but you must first update the chipset driver for your motherboard (Download available at AMD website, or your motherboard manufacture's website under "support"), and then update to the latest BIOS for your motherboard (Available under "support" from your motherboard manufacturer.  Make sure you follow all the steps to get from your current BIOS to the newest version.  DO NOT SKIP ANY OF THE STEPS!)  Then you should be able to install the 3600 CPU.

Does 3600 speed ram work with this cpu?

Yes, it should. Depending on your board you may still have to manually enter the sub-timings and/or other settings when you enable XMP/DOCP. Some, like my ASRock board, are this way. There are a few utilities that can help as well. Thaiphoon burner and Ryzen DRAM Calculator to name two.

As someone who is still using AM3+, does anyone know all current MOBO's that support this current generation Ryzen CPU out of the box without requiring an older gen Rzyen CPU for a BIOS flash?
