I am coming from a 14 year old system which had dual 12 core Xeon's, but they were old. This CPU is light years faster than my old rig for gaming and applications, and when paired with a PCIE with NVMe SSD and a Radeon 7600 XT, it maxes out brand new games without any stutter. I love the new AMD architecture with boost, and that it is energy efficient. With a dual radiator air cooler on stock settings it gets 4.5ghz boost speed, which is 200 mhz faster than reference. I don't feel the need to overclock it because it is already so much faster than what I am used to and I don't want to affect system stability. I paired it with EXPO memory and I got DDR 5 6000 speed at the push of a button and my system screams.
