This is the best rack you'll find for a home lab and is priced better than anything else by a long shot. One thing that buyers should consider is that this rack is actually included with a cross bar (not pictured) that holds the two side frames together. I'm not sure why it isn't pictured because I almost did not buy it for this exact reason. I was very happy about this when I found it in the box. I'm currently studying for my CCNP and couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm glad I didn't have to resort to the two extremes of just stacking the equipment on a table or dropping $300+ for an expensive enclosed rack.
- Sturdy, quality construction - Built with overclocking in mind - Large heat sink (probably overkill) for PCIE gen 5 M.2 SSD's
Keep your CPU at low temperatures and look great without the hoses in front of the LCD screen.
Why did I pick this? I was intrigued by this so I bought it. Sure, its pricier than most pastes. There is a thick plastic side and a thin plastic side. I cut the piece to size and used a sharp utility knife to pre-peal the thin plastic side and fold the corner. I wiped the die with the enclosed alcohol pad, pealed the thick plastic side, centered the pad, used the spatula to press it down and then grabbed the pre-folded edge of the thin plastic to remove. It wasnt too bad. I dont know if it works better as I have not compared it to regular thermal paste but I am satisfied that I got an appropriate amount between the CPU and the cooler.
Great showcase design Clean looking modern style built in support bracket User manual
Pre-installed i/o panel, which seems premium for a board in this price range. Has a bit of RGB on the back top-right corner, which is cool, even though I wasn't looking for anything with RGB.
The Asrock B650M Pro RS beats a lot of high-end Gigabyte and MSI boards when it comes to features. It is really worth considering if you are upgrading to the AM5 platform, I was a bit hesitant since I haven't bought any Asrock products for over 15 years now, but I didn't regret buying this board and their bios seem equivalent to many big brands and doesn't miss out in overclocking features.
