Will this drive work in a hp/compaq DC5750 desck top?

I don't know for sure I purchased that ssd  for laptop use. It can fit in a destop with an adapter bracket. It may be harder to use with amd if that is the computer you have For the price I paid here at newegg it seemed like a very good deal and I have experimented with Kali Linux on a newer HP laptop I was going clone the windows 8.1 but the software had troubles cloning ( intel cloning software from their site ) I would give it a try Just keep you old drive and data backed up in case it fails if that data is important to you. I thought I read with amd it was better to set in bios your drive to raid but I forget I doubt it let me post a URL here search google for that computer you have and hp /intel ssd installation. Some forums may have more information  for you

I have personally been using two of these hard drives on two systems, (Windows and Linux) and haven't seen any issues yet.

But, there are firmware updates available from the vendor to address this so I wouldn't worry about it.

If you do run into bugs, the manufacturer can help provide solutions, whether that is through the forums, private support ticket, RMA, etc.

does it come with software to copy OS and rest of data from the old hard drive?
I am planning to replace my old western digital 5400rpm in an 4 years old HP G60 laptop....and not sure if this is a SSD can be

No it doesn't come with any software. There are disk clone software available that works quite well like easeus and disk cloner.
