What drive trays are used to install SSDs into drive bays?

None.  Screws are provided, which act as drive rails to slide the bare drives into slots in the chassis.

does this server have a raid controller?

It comes with the S100i SR (software RAID) controller, but we're finding issues using that...Problems installing Win Server 2016 or 2019 when set to RAID0 or RAID1.

So is ILO active or we need to purchase extra key/license ?

You'll need the MicroServer Gen10 Plus iLO Enablement Kit (search for HPE P13788-B21), about $100 and it's actually worth that! Install the hardware, plug into your LAN and it's up and running. You can also get advanced options beyond the basics, but most won't need that functionallity.

What OS is installed?

Typically, servers ship without hard disk drives.  The user is responsible for purchasing disks and installing the OS themselves.  This is not always the case, so read the listing carefully.  Also note that the server is intended to operate with a RAID configuration, so purchase multiple drives and configure them in a RAID before attempting to install an OS.
