CAN THIS BE USED WITH ANOTHED HD IN THE SYSTEM?

The drive is fully capable of working with other drives in a system.  However, availability to support multiple hard drives will depend on your system.

* If you have a laptop, there are some models that support dual hard drives but most do not.  Check your manual or remove your drive cover to check for second drive compartment.

*If you have a desktop, verify that you have a 3.5" or 2.5" drive bay available, an available internal SATA port (Preferably SATA III) and an available SATA Power Connector.

Will this drive fit my Dell Precision M20 laptop?

This drive is 9.5mm thick ("height").  That's the old standard thickness.  A laptop made in the last two years or so, as well as all ultrabooks and extreme portables,  probably is designed for the new standard 7.0mm thickness.  So this drive won't fit in an ultralight or most newer laptops.  Near all current model SSDs are 7.0mm thick; some come with a 2.5mm spacer so there is no rattle in old laptops that have a 9.5mm cavity.

Is this compatible with alienware m17x r4 with win 7,core i7,nvidia graphics.?

If it was me, I would buy it and install it.  My guess is that it would.  If you want to be sure, contact Alienware.  I have installed the 256GB in an ASUS N81VP that is a few years old.  Also, installed the 128GB size in a new ASUS X202E.  No problems at all.

what dose stand alone drive mean?

It means that it is not an external drive (no USB connection, etc.), and that it doesn't come with any cables or drive mounting rails or anything.

If you are using this to replace an existing laptop drive, you shouldn't need any of that. If you want to put it in a desktop computer, you will need a mounting kit and cables. If you want to use it as an external drive, you will need a drive enclosure.

Will this SSD work in a Lenovo T61?

I should work but what you need to know is that it should have a sata 3 port which is 6g. I tried plugging it into a sata 2 port which it says it is compatible with but it didn't work. I also had to use a sata 3 cable for connecting. I couldn't get it to work with a sata 2 cable. I also had to change the sata configuration to AHCI. I was getting a lot of errors in the IDE setting.

Do you happen know if this hard drive is compatible for an Apple Macbook Pro from early 2008? It is the Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz.  It is the last Macbook Pro before the unibody style came out.  I am thinking about doing an SSD hard drive swap.  Please advise.

I'm no expert, but you can check the specs on the Apple Support site to make sure it has a SATA connector and, if so, then it should be fine. I originally had my other SSD (same form factor, similar specs) in my old MacBook, one of the white plastic case ones from around the same era. Just keep in mind that you most likely won't get SATA3 speeds in a MacBook Pro from 2008; I don't think they started using SATA3 until a couple years later. Again, I could be wrong, and the Apple Support site would have the specs and details. But yes, this SSD will work, and you will notice a difference moving from a platter drive to an SSD. Just make sure you find a good guide online (I think I used the one from Ars Technica), follow the steps carefully, and take the pre-install steps (like cloning) and post-install steps (like TRIM) seriously.

Does it come with the screws to secure it to a bay slot, or would I just use the screws that came with my case?

Can this SSD be installed and recognized with windows xp sp3?

This (or any SATA SSD) will work with Windows XP - the only catch is that you will need to manually control the partitioning process so that the Windows partition is aligned with the drive's sectors.  If you don't do this alignment, the drive will work, but its performance will be very slow.  Search for "Windows XP SSD Partition Alignment" for more info.

From my understanding any SSD is compatible with Mac book Pro. Something to consider is the connection speed of your current hard drive with the mother boards. For SSD's you want a connection speed between 3.0 Gbps to 6.0 Gbps.
