Pros: 1.65vdimm oh noes it won't work with SB! Nonsense. Works fine with SB. Running 4 sticks for 16GB total in a P8P67 with no problems. Have not tried to OC the ram because 1600 is fine for me; I don't spend all day playing with SuperPi.

Overall Review: NewEgg needs to update the picture, these are now called HyperX Blu and the heatspreader is a lot nicer. Got both of my rebate cards without any problems (took about 4 weeks but that's to be expected with mail-in rebates).

Pros: I should have bought this memory from the start! Works at 1600 speeds although the AMD architecture only supports 1333 by default. Overclocking is obviously required; the ASUS M4A79XTD mobo easily set the memory speed and voltage to 1600 and 1.66v (was either 1.66 or 1.64; not a 1.65 setting). Ran better at 1.66 vs. 1.64. Everything else was default or Auto and now works fine! The heatsinks are nice and discreet, not so large to impede airflow. I bought this memory to replace memory purchased during the holidays that exhibited intermittent crashes to desktop. A really good benchmark as of this writing is to run Battlefield Bad Company 2 with medium-high settings. This memory runs stable for literally HOURS at a time! My previous (cheap) memory did not have the SKILL to run this stable, and would crash no matter the BIOS settings. Do your homework to see the frequency of issues with other brands of memory, then come back to Kingston when you want a system that works!

Overall Review: Mobo had stability issues with the memory slots closest to the processor. This is a mobo problem and NOT a memory problem, but this may help others if stability is an issue. I could only tun stable by installing in the memory slots farthest away from the processor. Also, the "auto" settings in the BIOS usually don't work and need to be manually adjusted. I only had to adjust DRM speed and voltage Also, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is notorious for crashes to desktop (poorly written code). These settings help stabilize my system with the built-in soundcard and THIS memory: settings.ini: SpeakerCount=1 GameSettings.ini: OriginalVOForEnemyTeam=0 Also delete DirectX files from BFBC2 folder (already in system folder anyway!) ==== Now BF2 plays for hours with no crashes to desktop! Make sure your memory is Kingston, other memory does not have the SKILL to work. Don't take my word for it, do some searching and you'll quickly see what kind of memory has problems! :)

Pros: - fast memory - worked out of the box

Cons: - I would not get this memory if ure running it in an i5 2500k/i6 2600k since these processors officially only support up to 1.5v memories - this is a 1.65v memory.

Overall Review: I built a new machine using an i5 2500k and this memory. I started experiencing some weird crashes/BSOD/instability until I found out i5's don't support memories with voltage above 1.5. So I set the voltage to 1.5 and it worked fine, but I preferred to get a 1.5v memory just to be sure.

Pros: I have two sets of this memory installed for a total of 16GB. I turned on XMP and the results were 9-9-9-27, 2N, 1.65V, DDR3-1600. I have not bothered messing with the timings. I used to use two sets of similar Kingston 2 x 2GB memory sticks, and I was able to get even tighter timings. It looks like other reviewers have been able to get tighter timings with these 2 x 4GB memory sticks too. OC'd/XMP specs for two kits: 9-9-9-27, 2N, 1.65V, DDR3-1600 JEDEC/Stock specs for two kits: 9-9-9-24, 2N, 1.65V, DDR3-1333

Cons: My only real con is that they really should post both the JEDEC and OC'd timings in the details and in the packaging. The info is listed on Kingston's website though. Also, not everyone is aware of the fact that memory manufacturers that sell OC'd RAM set it to run at the slower JEDEC speed out of the box. You have to go into the BIOS and manually set the bandwidth, timings, voltage, and command rate, or select XMP (if you have a MB and memory that supports XMP) to get it to run at the advertised OC'd speed. So many people do not understand the difference between JEDEC and OC, so they think that the RAM is supposed to run OC'd once they install it w/o going into the BIOS. So many headaches would be saved by both manufacturers and users if JEDEC and OC was explained in the details/packaging. This is just a superficial con, but I wish they offered red on the heatsinks to match my current MB.

Overall Review: So far I have been happiest w/ Kingston memory. Their staff and products are excellent. Kingston is the only memory manufacturer that I have dealt with that guarantees two kits to achieve full OC'd specs. G.Skill only guarantees a single kit to reach full OC'd specs. OCZ is not able to achieve full OC'd specs if you didn't use a single kit, but then again OCZ no longer makes RAM. If you don't know how to setup or have not used OC'd RAM in the past, call the manufacturer. All OC'd RAM must be setup in the BIOS before it can run at the higher advertised specs. Pros: Using 4 DIMMs in a GB P67A-D3-B3 MB => 16GB. Set up BIOS to use XMP and timings set to 9-9-9-27 automatically. WIn7 64-bit WEI for RAM is 7.9! Bought on sale with $20 rebate!

Overall Review: Just fits under the cooling fan of the Cooler Master Hyper 212+. Other brand DIMMs won't because of their higher cooling shields. Already got both $20 rebates in less than 4 weeks. Plenty fast right now ... no need to overclock any higher!

Pros: It runs perfectly at the rated specifications, it is Kingston, and it is attractively priced.

Cons: It does not overclock well compared to other Kingston products I have used in the past. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it is a little disappointing compared to what I have become accustomed to from Kingston HyperX.

Overall Review: I think this is the only Kingston product I have ever owned that did not reach a minimum overclock of 10% at the specified timings. Even when I loosen the timings a little bit this ram will not go past 1720 and pass Prime95. I have installed this ram on an Asus AM3 mobo and an EVGA P55 mobo and get the same result with both platforms.

Pros: I'm sure they work fine - just not on Asus M5A97 R2.0

Cons: I RMA'd them because my motherboard would not boot with them. It's an Asus M5A97 R2.0. I understand that these memory sticks were "technically" not on the QVL. So it's not Kingston's fault. This is not a negative review for the memory itself - just a head's up to anyone using an Asus M5A97 R2.0.

Overall Review: I'm sure they work nice, but they did not play nice on my Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard. Please note that these memory sticks are not on the QVL. So it was a risk I took buying them. Unfortunately they did not work. I was skeptical about "needing" to use the exact models on the QVL. I was wrong. Not Kingstons' fault, it was my fault. Why four stars then? Well, it's a popular Kingston model of memory, it should have just worked, in my opinion. It didn't, and it wasn't on the QVL. I replaced them with a model that IS on the QVL - VIOLA the new memory works just fine.

Pros: Works great. Low profile heatsinks make these fit under even the biggest of after market coolers. Running them at DDR3 1600, 8 - 9 - 8 - 8 T25 timings. Prime95 for 24hours with no errors. Running 2 sets of these for 16gigs total. Most people will say anything over 8gigs is overkill for gaming. But with prices being so low I didn't see any reason now to get 2 sets.

Cons: None that I can think of. Glad I got them when they went on sale.
