With 2016 upon us, it’s time to start predicting what the new year will have to offer.

Oculus Rift

VR (Virtual Reality) Awakens

It’s building up to be the year of Virtual Reality. Whether through PC or smartphone, both are offering a strong solution. Major companies are spending tons in hardware and content, so we expect to see a flourishing market develop rapidly.
Smart Home

IoT (Internet of Things) growing

This year, we expect to see major breakthroughs in both devices and the languages connecting those devices in your home and car, and even on you. With tech getting smaller and battery life increasing, expect to see these new devices popping up in many places.
fitbit

Smart Rings and Bracelets

Technology keeps evolving, and even as smart watches are finding their hold in the market, smart rings are naturally the next evolution in devices. We expect to see more products tying users to technology for health and ease.

Broadcast Being Surpassed by Internet.

We’re seeing cable companies struggle to keep customers. Media has changed so rapidly, that users are just as comfortable viewing content on their tablets, phones and PCs, versus sitting on the couch and watching TV. It’s all about the second screen experience.
LoL

E-sports

This year appears to be the one in which competitive gaming and tournaments take the U.S. by storm. We expect to see more tournaments, more coverage and bigger prizes, just like they have overseas. With a new generation of gamers, we might finally see these games give major sports a run for their money.
Seiki Smart TV

4K Becoming Standard

For many people, their New Year’s resolution will be 4096 × 2160. With more devices and channels delivering 4K content, we expect to see a lot more viewers switching over, just like they did for HD.
Tesla Feature

More Technology in Cars

This year, expect cars to offer better technology: high-powered displays, self-parking and soon self-driving. Many manufacturers have already implemented some of these features and will eventually be able to turn them on when legal catches up.
