Negative. Also you might want to get a msata to SATA adapter ( which usually comes in a 3.5" form factor ) the good news is such an adapter is pretty cheap

Hi,

mSATA drives are not mounted in the case, but rather they are mounted in a specifically designed slot, directly on the motherboard... a bit like installing a DRAM module.

You'll need to see if your board has an mSATA slot (not to be confused with a SATA port.

mSATA ports are most commonly used in very small form factor systems, like the Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing), etc.

I've seen some SSDMCEAC030B301 with a 5yr warranty and others like this one with a 3yr warranty, how can 2 identical part#s offer 2 different warranty? see my link below..

Two possibilities that I can think of...

1. The part numbers may not be exactly the same... look for a slight variation, such as one ends with one or more extra characters... model "AAA" and "AAA-OEM".  In these cases, one might come in retail packaging, the other might be plain brown or white box.  Or it might indicate a different support license, such as a 3 or 5 year warranty.  There is usually a corresponding price difference.

2. It could just be a typo.  Websites usually feed warranty info into their systems using either some database query.  So if info is wrong somewhere, you'll see tons of sites with the same (incorrect) info.  Some sites enter missing info manually, so some data entry person may have simply typed the wrong info.

I'd go to the manufacturer's website and carefully check the part number to determine their actual warranty policy for that item.
