Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale Dual-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 BX80571E7300 Processor

Pros: crazy cool, crazy stable, crazy overclocks. much cooler running than my old Pentium D 935, and likely uses much less power, even when overclocked. currently i'm running 333x10 at stock voltage, and I can hardly believe the difference between 266 and 333 FSB, i couldn't go much further than 266FSB with my Pentium D, so my system was quite bottlenecked, however, since other wolfdale processors are 1333 FSB, i figured i'd give that a whirl and it's panned out perfectly. My best overclock so far has been 400x9 but i'm working on extending that figure.

Cons: I have a hard time thinking of a con for this processor. I never used the stock intel heatsink with this cpu, but I've noticed how tiny it is (smaller than the heatsink on my 8800GT), but, it might perform quite well with this low-power cpu at stock frequencies. so is this a con? you decide.

Overall Review: E7300 @ 3.33GHz and ThermalRight Ultra-120eXtreme with Arctic Silver 3 in between, and Arctic Cooling 12025PWM fan moving air. 28C idle, 35C load.

Pros: This is one great CPU for the price, has a 10x mult and runs really cool. I got it to 3.20ghz with 1.29v and its only running 43C with the stock intel HSF!, using the UD3P P45 chipset. I will push it more later on though to 3.5ghz. :) You just can beat it for the price.

Cons: Stock Intel HSF "VERY" hard to get on right, why couldnt intel just use a back support bracket and screws to secure it? Other then HSF installation, absolutely nothing.

Pros: This is my second post here about this awesome cpu... When I wrote the first one -> I was able to get it to 3.5 GHz (350 x 10) working really stable and fast with upping the Vcore to 1.350v -> CPU-Z reporting: 1.328v - 1.336v <- If you don't want to change the voltage of the cpu -> you can easily get to 3.33 GHz (10x 333), without changing it... and even with Intel's really cheap stock cooler too (as long as your case is well ventilated) That's not bad at all right there... If you want to push it further... I just got it to another very stable and fast 3.66 GHz with the cpu voltage at still a safe 1.375v -> CPU-Z reporting 1.352v - 1.360v <- My stability tests included 9 hours of Prime95 running without any errors... with lots of apps running, whilst a dvd movie playing in a loop in Power DVD 8... The system acted like it wasn't busy doing anything else... amazingly fast... this is a good buy... As they say... 'Every chip IS different'... but hope this helps... good l

Cons: none. Just if you're going to up the cpu voltage to overclock past 3.4 GHz... you're gonna need a decent cpu cooler

Pros: It works. It's as fast as it should be. The price is great.

Cons: Doesn't make sandwiches.

Overall Review: Great processor for a mid-range cheap computer.

Pros: Overclocked to 3.33ghz with stock cooler @1.3v. Make sure you have the bios updated on your motherboard before switching to these newer 45nm chips. And, doublecheck your mobo's combatibility.

Overall Review: Now if I can only get it to 4ghz....... time for real cpu cooler/fan combo.

Overall Review: Some people have no clue, the odds of getting 2 DOA's are astronomical.

Pros: Great bang for the buck, great at overclocking. I got this to 3.20 GHz (320MHz FSB) using the stock cooler and the voltage bumped up to 1.184V, peaking at 63 celsius with small FFTs in prime95. I could get it higher (tried 333MHz FSB with 1.2V) but the temps would just start peaking over 65, so there is plenty of room if you get a better cooler. Using stock (auto) voltage I got it to 310 MHz FSB. The heatsink is also nice and quiet, maxing out at 2400 rpm under full load.

Cons: None. It's a processor and it processes.

Overall Review: This processor is a part of some nice combo deals. I got it with a P5Q SE Plus motherboard.

Pros: Nice, fast, strong processor. Benches well, runs Vista64 like a breeze. Stays cool at stock speeds.

Cons: None that I've found.

Overall Review: May want better cooler if you're going to overclock it, but it overclocks nicely too.
