Pros: 4 Cores, Unlocked Multipliers, 3.0mhz speed. Whatelse could you wish for?

Cons: Power hungry and hot. This processor takes a lot of power and runs warm. Make sure you have good ventilation and cooling on your rig. My P6N Diamond handles it well, but you will have to up the north and south bridge voltages to get it to run at stock speed.

Overall Review: I love this processor! I currently have it set at 3.67 with just a quick change of the multiplier. Runs incredibly stable, though to do it, I have to almost max my north and south bridge voltages. I should have waited for the new 770i boards, they support the yorkfield processors...oh well,I still love it!

Overall Review: I thought my nvidia 650i north bridge would support my processor but after some research i found that the fsb on this is a little out of the ordinary and i require an x38 chipset? I read alot of people could not run the 1333 fsb on the 650i chipset but instead had to downclock to 1087. Even then they still had performance issues. MAke sure your board can run a quad core on a 1333 fsb before purchase

Pros: Super fast best CPU i ever owned runs FSX with all settings maxed out at 1680x1050 at like 50FPS with my EVGA 8800GTS 640MB

Overall Review: ASUS P5KC, QX6850 OC to about 4GHZ on Zalmen fan, EVGA 8800GTS 640MB, 2GB 800MHz RAM, BFG PhisX card, WD 500GB and 2 150GB rapters in RAID 0 Antec 900 case Aero Cool fan controler all from wonderfull newegg. NEWEGG ROCKS

Pros: Combined with Gigabytes x38-dq6 the multiplier is unlocked to an extent I'm unwilling to go. Immediatly clocked to 1600mhz FSB and set it to 9x (3.6ghz) and runs completely stable.

Cons: Runs warm, but even on stock cooling with artic silver 5 this runs nowhere near red zone.

Overall Review: If you are going to get an overclockable processor, don't skimp on the motherboard nor the memory.

Pros: This is, and will be the most powerfull and fastest processor for all current gen mainboards. Its very durable and a dream to overclock. The be all, end all of the Intel 65nm chip design.

Cons: Price - If you're planning to upgrade then save your cash for a few months as the price should drop to the mid hundreds in the wake of the new 45nm architecture. If you're using a compatible mainboard with an outdated BIOS, be sure to flash it with the latest release. I had to flash my EVGA 680i to get this thing to work at stock FSB speed. Can run much hotter than it's Core2 Duo brothers with the stock cooler installed. Reccommend intalling an after market cooler (air or water) to keep this bad boy running cool, even though by doing so, you will be technically voiding the warrenty. Whatever!

Overall Review: I have mine running completely stable at 3.33Ghz with a simple change of the multiplier from 9 to 10 and a core voltage increase to 1.36V. I know I can push it farther, but why bother? The 11% clock speed increase only improved benchmark scores by an average of 1 to 3 percent. This speed is absolutely perfect. BTW: I'm using a zerotherm BTF90 cooler. Specs: EVGA 680i / QX6850 @ 3.33ghz / 2X 8800GTX in SLI / 4GB DDR2 800 RAM / 2X 74gb 10K Raptors in raid 0 / Vista 64

Pros: Bought the chip along with a pk5 asus board and a turniq tower (I don't care for water cooling). Have yet to see it go past 40 degrees C and it usually hovers around 31-33 C.

Cons: None really.

Overall Review: I over clocked it to 4.02 ghz, saw no need to go beyond that. Bioshock is already cracked all the way up and I see no slowdown at all. To those that say it runs hot, I can only guess that they are either don't know how to properly set up their system, own poor motherboards, or bad cooling units. Teh chip is made for overclocking and I have yet to see anything approaching the heat that some have mentioned.

Pros: Top of the line, latest edge stuff.

Cons: HOT!!! The thing puts off some massive heat. I'm looking for a better cooler now. And of course, the price, I regret having spent that much now compared to what you can get with a little bit lower version.

Overall Review: I hear the 6700 out performs the 6850 in a few tests.

Pros: This machine was built for Video and Photo Editing, with speed and stability the goal. It therefore has not been pushed much passed the rated speeds for the processor and Memory. It has performed extreamly well, and is very stable. This Processor is highly recomended for anyone that needs a fast, stable machine.
