Pros: Fantastic overclocking ability on this chip. I bought this with a Zerotherm Nirvana nvm120 cooler and clocked it to 3.4Ghz easily. Idle temps are around 37-39c with the load never breaking 49c. You can overclock this bad boy to 3.0ghz without raising the stock voltage at all. I saw a significant increase in my frame rates when going from 2.66ghz to 3.4ghz when combined with my geforce 9800gx2.

Cons: None in my book. If you pair this with the right cooler and case with decent airflow, its golden.

Pros: This processor rocks !!! i have always had AMD because of the price of Intel, but now they have come way down and within reach of the average Joe. it smokes the 4800 duel core i had in my last computer . i can encode a movie in 12minutes when it used to take an hour . all i can say is i love it and would do it again in a heart beat .

Overall Review: just buy it you will love it and the power that comes with it .

Pros: It's fast. Very fast. Since the price drop, it's gained better standing as compared to the Q6600... it's not a huge difference, but it's there. Great for those like me who are going for the best/fastest/most cutting-edge build without getting crazy (ie, QXxxx CPUs, phase change, modding, etc) haha... Its an awesome overclocker: the 10x multiplier is great and with good cooling, this chip will go to 4.0GHz and beyond...

Cons: Random, but... I hate Intel's packaging... very frustrating... and I wish Newegg carried an OEM version of this chip: the stock HSF is just sitting unused in its box. Also, didn't notice a very big difference between it and what I upgraded from (X2 6000+), but I'm sure it's there in my ability to multitask, and will come out more when I OC it.

Overall Review: Newegg is the best! I run: Q6700 @ 3.0GHz, Zalman CNPS9700, Asus Rampage Formula, 2x1GB G.Skill 800MHz, EVGA 8800GTS, Silverstone Strider 600W

Pros: Runs stable at 3.7Ghz on 1.54v and stays below 50°c with watercooling (cores get up to around 55°c which is warm, but well within the safe range for this chip).

Cons: Gets rather warm at 3.8Ghz even with my watercooling.

Overall Review: Owned this chip for over a year at around 3Ghz on stock voltage. I was lucky to have an early-series chip that has a VID of only 1.275v which let me get a rather high O/C on the new mobo I recently changed to(Gigabyte EP35-DS3L).

Pros: this must be my 9th or 10th build of gaming systems and I always used the other guy AM# ... this one time I wanted to see what all the hype was about w/ these quad cores that intel has and see if they are any good. Since the price difference is very small right now I just went for it. And I am happy as could be… I never buy the newest cpu, ram or anything but I do try to get something 6 months or less old just to save a buck or two. I very happy to say it’s a good choice and seems to be the way to go.

Cons: None speed wise or performance … I just don’t really like the way these new cpu’s mount to MB .. they need to come up w/ something a little better these little plastic connections scare me.

Overall Review: I don’t post much so since this is my one shot here I go… when reading reviews never start w/ the cons, these people that have dead cpu’s, mb or whatever I don’t think ever built a system from scratch… sometimes u need to read the mb guide to understand how to set up the system. So please take the time to read all the information and take your time… don’t tighten them mb screws too tight :P

Pros: - Makes Vista64 feel like XP - just really really fast! - Video encoding times have dropped dramatically. - With a good mobo, overclocks to 3.5ghz or 3.6ghz on high end Air and still runs cool. - Didn't need to reformat..just replaced cpu and everything worked fine - 10x multi, G0, 8mb cache

Cons: - From a technical standpoint - NONE - Not really a con, but compared to a Q6600 you're kind of paying for 266mhz, a 10x multi, and guaranteed G0 - OC'ing is only as high as the weakest core; my core #3 will do 3.5 no problem, but at 3.6 immediately errors out in prime95.

Overall Review: System config for 3.5 ghz: Abit iP35 Pro with fans on heatpipe coolers, tuniq Tx-2 thermal paste, Tuniq Tower 120 cooler, 4 x 1gb OCZ PC6400. BIOS: 1.505 Vcore, 1.31 Vtt, 1.52 Nb, 1.09 Sb, 390 x 9.

Pros: It is a QX6700 with locked multiplier, great multitasking performance, crunches like crazy for my distributed computing projects, CPU-intensive games fly, runs cool, and I got a free game with a combo deal!

Cons: Intel has the WORST stock heatsinks! But the chip itself is great, though it may not be the best overclocker.

Overall Review: I will admit that I am an AMD fan. But I must say I am impressed by the Q6700. I have built a computer with a Phenom and one on the QuadFX platform, and I can tell the Q6700 runs noticeably better. I have not overclocked this chip because I run distributed computing projects and I don't like to run overclocked chips at 100% load 24/7. But with a decent cooler this chip runs very cool. Vista 64 runs great with quad core. Gaming on this chip is not a problem. Multitasking is great and even the little bit of video editing I do has become a pleasure. It also is a very energy efficient chip. Paired with 4GB of RAM and an 8800GT, this baby flies. I would highly recommend this chip!

Pros: Wow. Thats all I can say. Quad core for such a price and free game. Jump on this NOW! Runs hella fast and with a 10x player you can overclock this beast @ 4ghz no problem.

Cons: Get a aftermarket heatsink if you plan on overclocking.
