No. The CPU's use different motherboard sockets. You would need a new motherboard that has an LGA 1700 CPU socket to use an i5 13400.

Two questions, the 4.6 ghz is only manual overclocking, it is really 2.5? And it says DDR5 4800, but all pc build sites offer all DDR5 as compatible, so buy higher and keep in case I upgrade the CPU?

On my computer, CPU-Z shows Core Speed as 4588.8mhz. It varies down to 4090 mhz. This is running stock, no tweaking.

Secondly, there is minimal value to be had from DDR5, IMO.

If you want to overclock and run high speed DDR5, maybe get an up the line CPU.

My setup is perfectly fine for mid to high range gaming and has great performance with an Intel A750 graphics card. Choice and placement of your NVME drives has a much bigger impact on performance than getting the highest speed memory in my view. Depending on your intended use, YMMV.

The 13400 has a base power draw of 65W vs the 12600k at 125W, but otherwise they use the same die with small tweaks to the base and boost clock speeds. The differences are more pronounced when considering overclocking.
