Fans not working properly 7/5/2020 2:13:05 PM

Pros: Great case for the price with good airflow

Cons: Mine arrived with defective fans

Overall Review: As i mentioned its a great case for the price and i always loved phanteks products however, Mine arrived with defective fans, the middle fan rgb doesnt work and the bottom fan wouldnt spin until i gave it a spin with my hand, it spins now but struggles everytime the system starts, as for the middle fan the rgb would not work no matter how hard i tried it spins normally but with no lights what soever, i am not a beginner builder by any means have been building systems for years and the first time i receive a bad unit from phanteks.

As expected! 7/4/2020 12:35:27 PM

Pros: It does exactly what you can expect right out of the box, no compatibility issues, no BIOS flashing to update the motherboard, the thing drops in and just works. Turbo Boost is nice if you don't want to bother, but I prefer running it at 5GHz all cores.

Performance is as expected, it is basically a slightly faster 9900k with a bit more thermal headroom.

Their "sanded down die" trick seems to have helped quite a bit.

Cons: No real cons to this thing, it's exactly what you pay for. Mind you you have to pay for it though.

Overall Review: Pleased in my upgrade from an i5, but I highly doubt anyone with a 7700k or any newer i7 would notice the difference unless they are live streaming.

I7 here rocks i9 performance for less!! 7/4/2020 10:01:24 AM

Pros: Lower temps than expected around mid 60c on a CineBench 20 runs consistently.

I score around 4900 points stock.

The core temp delta between cores is around 5c rather than the 8-9c with the 9700k build as well.

This is on a Z490 MSi gaming edge with an 280mm AIO

Cons: None

Overall Review: I recommend if you coming from a quad core or even a 6 core processor.

Excellent gaming upgrade over 7700K 7/4/2020 12:12:22 AM

Pros: -runs cool even at 5ghz
-no need to delid as temps are stable
-works well with high OC ram
-identical performance to 10900K in games
-the priceless satisfaction of seeing your benchmark scores crushing a 9900K but for less $$$

Cons: -not really cutting edge tech basically a better 9900K
-expensive compared to ryzen 8 core cpus
-no pci gen 4

Overall Review: I came from a delid 7700K overclocked at 4.9ghz to 10700K and even at stock unlocked all core 4.9ghz the 700K is noticeable better in games. It actually bothers me how much smoother and more reliable the framerate is in demanding titles. Even at 4k where they should be identically gpu bound there's a difference in all games. Just goes to show you 8 highly clocked cores is what a gamer needs. It's an absolute pleasure loading up AC Odyssey at 4K or Red Dead 2 all Ultra settings such a consistently smoother and more responsive experience.

I have this paired with z490 Strix-e and Patriot Viper 4400mhz (though can't get ram stable past 4200mhz). Currently using the AI overclocking but this cpu can do 5.2 all core. Just a wealth of overclocking options to learn coming from 7700K so I've let the mobo AI take over for now.

Awesome CPU 7/3/2020 6:16:35 AM

Pros: I upgraded from an 8700K that ran at 70-90C at 1.27v. The 10900K runs way cooler and has 4 more cores. So far at 5 ghz all core with 1.29v, max temp is 77C during benchmarks with the fans as low as they can go. Haven't tried overclocking any further.

Pro's: 10 cores, runs cool even with a 280mm AIO, easy to overclock, ready to be paired with the 3080 Ti when it comes out. I run a 240 hz 1080p monitor so the CPU helps a lot for pushing high frame rates.

Cons: Not really any cons to this CPU, it does draw 200 watts at full load on my current 5 ghz OC which is a lot, but not a big deal.

Overall Review: I would recommend upgrading to a 10900k for anyone other than maybe 9900K owners if you are running 200+ hz monitor and need the highest frame rate.

Epic Gamer Moment 7/2/2020 10:27:08 PM

Pros: - Runs Very Cool (50C while gaming and 74C max under all core stress test at 5ghz)
- Easily overclockable
- Gaming King
- Great XPlane FPS
- Performs better than the 9900k at a cheaper price

Cons: - Doesn't make much sense if you have a LGA1151 chip
- Box isn't fancy

Overall Review: It's great; it runs cool and performs really well. It's basically the 9900k that doesn't have horrible thermals and slightly better performance and "more features" with the new chipset. I upgraded from my 3700x and I jumped about 25-30fps in Xplane (went from 35-40fps to 55-80 fps). It overclocked to 5ghz easily and runs cool as well. Love this thing.
