Pros: Does not generate much heat. My CPU and Power Supply fans now run at half the speed they did with a 1.6Ghz P4 - all else having remained the same.
Cons: Requires an adapter to work on a socket 478 Motherboard (the ASUS CT-479).
Overall Review: I have an ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe board (which is NOT a M/B listed to work with the M/B I have) -- but the adapter *DOES* work with that board as ASUS says in their FAQ for the *P4P800-SE* board. This pair makes for a nice quiet fairly powerful system. I think that Newegg ought to carry the CT-479 which, unfortunately, I had to buy elsewhere. I am now a very cool, noise free, happy camper!
