    LOADING...

The KingSpec XG 7000 is a 4TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD for compatible PCs and PS5 setups, with advertised sequential speeds up to 7,400 MB/s read and 6,600 MB/s write for users seeking fast storage for games, apps, and large files.

    Recommended For

    • PS5 owners expanding their installed game library who want a 4TB M.2 drive positioned for PS5 use; check the console’s fit and cooling requirements before installation.
    • PC gamers with a PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 slot who want room for a large installed game library on one drive, rather than frequently removing and reinstalling games.
    • Desktop or laptop owners upgrading a compatible PCIe 4.0 system who need high-capacity storage for large files and want a compact M.2 drive instead of a 2.5-inch SSD.

    Real-World Use Scenarios

    • When a PS5 owner is running short on space, the XG7000 can serve as internal expansion storage for more games. It is listed as PS5-compatible, but check the console’s installation and cooling requirements before fitting it.
    • For a gaming PC with a growing library, using the 4TB XG7000 as a game drive can leave more titles installed and reduce the need to move or redownload them. Games may load responsively, though switching from another SSD may not produce a noticeable improvement in every title.
    • When upgrading a compatible laptop or desktop, installing the XG7000 as the system drive gives the operating system and applications NVMe storage, while its 4TB capacity leaves room for programs and personal files. Actual responsiveness depends on the rest of the computer and the drive it replaces.
    • For moving large files or staging downloads on a PC, the XG7000 can provide fast storage for everyday transfers and temporary files. Very large, continuous write jobs may slow after the drive’s write cache is used, so peak speeds should not be assumed for an entire transfer.
