dose this come with the case for if you wanted to use it as a usb drive?

Accepted Answer

No. The drive and accessories are intended to be installed internally on a PC. If you want to use it as an external drive (e.g. a USB drive) then you'll have to furnish your own external HDD case with power supply that accepts SATA drives.

Question 2

This is probably a dumb question but I need to know: Will the Acronis transfer software work on a second SSD? I have 2 computers to upgrade and buying 2 bundles seems like a waste.

Hi. Don't know the answer to your question, inasmuch as I just bought the one SSD. However, I would imagine that it would work on any number of Kingston SSDs, b/c it's software for just for easing the installation process. There are any number of free pgms online that will do the same thing as this one, so there's no 'secret sauce' that they can earn $ by selling the prgm. I bought it w/the SSD, b/c I didn't want to bother doing an on-line search for one, & it was cheap enough.
   You can answer your question yourself by trying to use it while installing both of your new SSDs.  Good luck. - Bob E

Does the "data copy" software allow for a "clone" of the original HD? To be able to clone my original HDD to the SSD, and boot my desktop from the SSD?
