Go for it, you laptop only has one slot so you will have to remove what ever is currently installed.

Does your laptop have a port for DDR3 So-Dimm RAM?  If so it will fit.  Does you laptop BIOS have a RAM size limit?  Some are limited to  less than 8-gb.  For example my net book is limited by the BIOS to 1.5-gb RAM no matter if you instal 2-gb RAM. (It is an older netbook).  Check you laptop specifications and see what it will accept.
