dos this computer have a problem with the screen colors?

I assume you are asking about the rumors about the horrible screen on the Y50. It really isn't the Y50's fault. The problem is inherent with any screen that uses a TN panel as opposed to an IPS. A TN panel has worse color reproduction and viewing angles compared to IPS, but is faster and more suited to gaming. The screen is replaceable and there are guides online so I don't believe that this will be a deal breaker.

No, the DVD+/-RW is external.  It is not listed on Newegg site but is in the picture and listed on the manufacturer site and was in the box at the time of my purchase.  The HDD is internal.

It comes with a 1 TB HDD, with a 8 GB SSD cache. AKA, it is a hybrid drive. It is a standard 2.5 in laptop-sized HDD

Typically, these drives takes multiple boots of use in order to prioritize which files end up in the SSD cache. The more they're used (like your boot-up files, and the apps you always launch), the higher priority they'll get to be put in the cache and the faster your general experience will seem.

However, the drive is very easy to access and replace, if you wanted to get a full SSD.

This computer does come with an external CD disk drive, which connects via third generation USB. This has been great, because it makes the design so much more efficient (less bulk) and I still have the external disk drive whenever I need it.

No! VGA ports are becoming obsolete now. But it does have full HDMI port.

How long is the battery life?

If you turn off unnecessary background apps (steam, origin. MSI afterburner/fraps, they can eat a bit of power) I can get a good 4-5hrs of Internet and MS office stuff at school (never actually timed it). If you swap it to power mode (puts all cores at 3.2-3.4ghz), you'll get 1.5-2hrs of normal stuff, I haven't really games on the battery but I think reviews said 45-60mins of heavy games. You can use Nvidia's GForce Experience app to set game settings for plugged and battery mode, so when you unplug (think you'd have to reload the game), the settings will be whatever you say, and you can set a frame rate that so it throttles the GPU back to save power. I need to try that stuff out, but I normally have the charger and a cooling pad for if I want to play (doesn't need the pad, I just prefer to play it safe). It runs great, but I think last I looked the MSI GE62 might be worth a look for a good performance boost for a little money (can't upgrade laptips so it should be worth it in the long run)

Yes the DVD Burner is included in the package. Due to the minimalist design, the Lenevo Y50 Touch does not include a DVD drive of its own. So the portable DVD Burner comes in handy on the fly. This was a question that I had when buying this product. I was surprised that I could not find anything concerning this at the time of my purchase.

It's an external DVD drive, not having one inside helped keep the thickness down, and yes it has one
