Can someone tell me what 8GB RAM module to get so I can upgrade the RAM on this model?  Thank you!

I bought the Crucial module listed below for about $27, but there are quite a few other brands with good reputations.  Just be sure to meet the specs listed here.

Can this laptop be plugged into a docking station? Is there a docking station for it?

The ThinkPad E560 is not compatible with mechanical docking stations. However, the ThinkPad OneLink Dock will should work, Levinio part number 4X10A06077.

Question 3

The picture shows the laptop with windows 10 but it says Windows 7 is installed... what operating system is on the laptop initially?

I bought mine in June and it came with Windows 7.  Contacted Lenovo and they sent me a flash drive that had Windows 10 software, license.

could I add another 4GB RAM or do I need to replace 4GB by a 8GB RAM?

I add at least 4 Gig to every one of these I have bought. They have a large access panel on the bottom and it is all very easy... I have used these https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231703 or the 8 gig version. This link has 2 sticks so you would need to get the same in single stick version. I buy lots of these laptops so I always buy multiple sticks...

This has been downgraded to windows 7 - Can I take it back to windows 10 for free?

Of course. This unit will have no issue running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional or any Windows 10 version.

Some of the spec listings I see for configuration 20EV002FUS of the E60 -- such as NewEgg's -- say the 500gb HDD it comes with is 7200rpm, while others (including the Lenovo site) say 5400.  Others don't specify.  What did you get?

Can this downgrade be reversed to install 10 Pro?

Yes, just Google Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to create installation media and the install will detect the License key from the Bios Chip.

Does this laptop ship with Windows 10 as of 8/10/2016?

Microsoft really wants everyone to run Windows 10.  But.. the customer is king and some people won't buy a new computer unless good old comfy Windows 7 is on it -- perhaps your school or office isn't ready top support Windows 10 for example.  So, since the customer is king, Microsoft came up with a goofy named "downgrade rights" (doubletalk for "ok. ok. . we need to sell a copy of windows.  We'll sell you both and when you are ready to move up from Windows 7, the Windows 10 license is there dormant but paid for."

Question 10

How do I "upgrade" this machine to Windows 10?  Several people have said it can be done for free, but I'm wondering how to do it.  The free upgrade period for Windows 10 has passed.

I ordered a flash drive from Lenovo.  The Windows 10 license, flash drive, and shipping was free.  Can't recall how I found where to order the upgrade.  Might have been with the literature that came with the laptop or on the product listing page.
