Lenovo V15 G5 15.6" FHD Notebook Intel Core i3-1315U 8GB DDR5 RAM 512GB SSD Black for Home and Business

The Lenovo V15 G5 is a 15.6-inch FHD notebook with an Intel Core i3-1315U, 8GB DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB NVMe SSD, suited to everyday home, school, and business tasks such as web browsing, documents, and video calls.

Recommended For

• Office and small-business users who mainly work in documents, email, browser-based tools, and spreadsheets, and want a 15.6-inch screen, webcam privacy shutter, and Ethernet connection for a desk setup.
• Students or home users doing everyday coursework, web research, video streaming, and light productivity at a desk, especially if they value a full-size 15.6-inch display over a compact travel-first design.
• People who mostly use an external monitor and need an affordable laptop for routine office work; the built-in Ethernet and HDMI ports support a straightforward wired desk setup.
• Buyers who want a basic, portable-enough 15-inch work laptop for moving between home, office, and classroom, and can recharge during the day rather than depending on long unplugged sessions.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For everyday office tasks—writing documents, updating spreadsheets, email, and browser-based work—the V15 G5 should handle routine workloads smoothly; keeping many apps and browser tabs open at once may feel more constrained with the 8GB configuration.
• For schoolwork at home—researching online, drafting assignments, and joining lessons or meetings—it offers a practical everyday setup; video calls and other apps running together may use up the headroom of the 8GB memory.
• For video streaming and general web browsing, it suits a home desk or kitchen-table setup; the matte Full HD screen helps reduce reflections, though the tested TN-panel version had limited viewing angles and weaker colors than an IPS display.
• For occasional lightweight gaming, such as older or less demanding titles, it can be serviceable at reduced settings; professional testing found integrated graphics struggled with demanding modern games, so it is not a good fit for graphics-intensive gaming.
• For basic remote-work sessions, such as joining a video call while reviewing documents, the built-in webcam and privacy shutter make it usable without extra camera hardware; expect a straightforward rather than premium video-call experience.
