Pros: Very East to use, it just works
Fast throughput, no issues streaming media across it
Pros: Bought three of these for an office, upgrading some old 100mbps to 1000mbps (1gbps) for the entire LAN, so far so good... LAN speeds are capped at users hard drive speeds now.
Cons: It doesn't transform into a space ship and give me a tour of the solar system.
Overall Review: If you don't see me complaining after this you can assume they're all still working 100% for the office.
Pros: Incredibly easy to set up, just plug it in!
+Runs cool at high throughput
+Button to turn off LEDs on ports
+Energy saver turns off unused ports
+Small power adapter
Overall Review: What a great 8 port switch. The upgrade to gigabit for me was very noticeable over 10/100. Great build quality and solid performance.
Pros: For network that is going to comprise no more than 10 wired systems this was an excellent addition. I already have E3200 and this add on gave me the ability to connect Network Printer, PS3, Multiple wired computers, Personal Ethernet Cloud, etc. I work from home via internet and need a dependable network. I have 100MB Fiber connection and E3200 mated to the SE2800 gives me the wired connections I need and also allow me to fully use the Fiber 100MB. I am able to download almost 1GB file and install in about 15 Mins. This is definitely a great extender for the E3200.
Cons: Not a Con just a preference. Would be nice if the ports were in the back of the router and switch. Would allow cables to be run out of site and still allow viewing of the connectivity.
Pros: Fast, no-brainer installation, all 8 ports in use with no loss of speed or quality.
Overall Review: would be nice if Cisco would have included a mounting bracket. My installation is in a phone room, not a desktop. Had to fab a mounting system
Pros: Great value! Eight port gigabit switch, reliable brand name. So far this switch has been solid!
Cons: The switch runs a little hot for my liking and with no venting on top it makes me a little nervous. Passive cooling with no outlets on the top of the device does not seem wise. As long as it continues to work properly and at the speeds I expect, no real complaints.
Pros: Plugged it in and it worked. Not a bit of setup.
Overall Review: I have a CISCO E3000 Router and I wanted to move it to the center of my house for better coverage. I purchased this switch so I could run a single cable back to my computer room which has 3 computers and a network printer (need 4 ports). I plugged the cables in and it worked like a champ.
Pros: None to mention other than Gig-E
