Do you think this would work through glass doors? Also I have a new Panasonic plasma and a Yamaha receiver, is this device updated frequently in order to work with newer equipment.I have not looked into this, but is there a site that I can use to confirm my equipment will work with this remote? Thank you.

The remote does work through glass doors. Clear or tinted. I know for sure the harmony works well with all of the newer Yamaha receivers. It is updated quite often and I have only had trouble with really old equipment (10+ years). The software could use some work as sometimes it can be difficult but overall if you stay patient. It should not take more than an hour to get everything programmed.

Can you control your PC with this? not fully supportive but able to adjust volume or play and stop media. I'm planning to buy TV as PC monitor. so with this, when I watch movie from distance, I don't have to take PC keyboard and TV remote. Any thought?

If your computer has an IR receiver yes you can. I use it to control my old laptop turned htpc.
