Does it come with any coaxial cable?

Yes it has a cable about 6 ft long with a standard F-type connector. The cable is relatively small diameter, but there's no connector at the antenna end so it is not easily replaced.

I have a LG smart TV. but no cable service, so i can only watch Youtube, etc. my question is if i buy this antenna, how can i use it? (Can anyone show detail steps for the set up with my TV?) sorry i know nothing for TV and tks.

Mine is connected to a Samsung Smart TV. There's not much setup involved.  I have a cable extension on it so that I can place it a bit further, but you'll want it as close to a window as possible in my opinion.  You simply find the coaxial connection on the television and screw in the end of the wire that's attached to the antenna together... done! The television should have a setup in the menu to auto detect the channels or maybe it will automatically detect them once you make the connection without a menu.

This particular antenna is a bit weak in my opinion, but it's the first antenna we've purchased just to try out our television.  We most use the smart features and internet combination for our television watching needs.

I was pleased with this purchase.

It definitely enhanced the signal and reception.

Without the antenna I received ZERO channels.  With the antenna I received good reception for about seven local channels.

Definitely worth the money.

Not very long. I would say 3ft or so. You can't detach the cord and use a longer one either

What distance does it pick up?  Maximum?

It appears to be directional, and won't work well unless it is on a Window I think.  I could not get Pikes Peak from maybe 20 miles?  But I wasn't at the windows.  It did provide a couple channels if held a certain way.  We should be getting 20 channels maybe more.  Have not decided what to do, but Roku is good.  If you can get this to a window in the right direction it might do well.  Can't say how far.

Is there any special setup?  I've connected this and it is not working, not even recognized.

No special setup. All you can do is check that all connections are tight and move it around the room looking for a signal. This antenna is only good for very short distances between your TV tuner and the station tower. If you are too far from the tower, you will need a larger antenna, preferably mounted on the roof or in the attic.  I have one because it was part of a deal that make it free. It picked up a nearby station but nothing else, so I don't use it. I recommend you return it.

FM radio broadcasting is vhf 87.5–108 MHz

Fm radio occupies the freqs. between lo-vhf channels 2-6 and hi-vhf 7-13.

This antenna is hi-vhf + uhf only. starting above fm @VHF 170-230MHz,

do I still need direct tv?

Nope. This will give you all the free channels and sunday football too. Quality is excellent.

Does anybody know the expected range for this antenna?  I live about 30 miles from most of the broadcasters near me.  I'm wondering if I don't need to spring for a little more and get an amplified antenna.

I have this antenna, it's only good for local channels only! No different from back in the day with rabbit ears. And again depending on how close you live near the broadcasting towers. Don't expect to get free cable, Verizon, or direct tv. Remember you are not getting something for very little or next to nothing.

Using double face tape I attached to a window facing the general direction of the TV antennas and it works great for about 20miles.
